It's not my fault this rabbit is clearly illiterate. He takes "Around 170" to mean mid 170s and "164" to mean 161. mis-interpreting my remarks to sound like a wise ass. I won't make any assumptions but that rabbit can go fuck himselfJmart082 wrote:Not proper nomenclature, dude.stasg wrote:Legacy Rabbit just so you know telling a black person they're "uppity" is NAGL.Legacy Rabbit wrote:You are a real uppity and snappy mother fucker.

Legacy Rabbit, you made it off of UT's waitlist, which means if you were to attend you'd most likely have to go sticker, which means that would suck ass. With my current numbers I'd stand a good shot of getting in (and in through the wait-list). So I got one simple question to ask you

Opportunity began thru who I am (family friend), got to become an unpaid assistant for an executive at Creative Arts Agency. Worked my way up from there to being paid and now I have very close relations to many executives there who make decisions and already trust me. Now a couple of the working lawyers there are mentors to me, and I've been promised a job in a very lucrative branch of the agency if I follow this path.lawman84 wrote:Just out of curiosity, is this a job you earned or a job being given to you because of who you are?fieryking wrote:Lol.. Anyways, I really would love to attend USD. According to LSN I should get in easily (9 accepted 0 waitlist 0 reject with stats equal or slightly less than mine).. I'm very nervous that I won't be accepted however.

Damn you must've been one hell of an assistant, I don't mean that in a sarcastic way either. Why not just apply to a shit ton of local cali schools since all you need is a JD for the guaranteed job anyway, why are you so set on San diego? there are over 25 law schools in California you can considerfieryking wrote:Opportunity began thru who I am (family friend), got to become an unpaid assistant for an executive at Creative Arts Agency. Do I have a chance at a full ride to University of San Diego? Was PTing 166-172 so the 161 was extremely disappointing. Going to be retaking October. With this 161 what are my chances of getting a scholly to USD though? Thanks.

Some schools do have a program where you can try it over again, but only if you never graduated in the first place and it's been many years. Not sure if LSAC would be okay with not taking your initial grades, however. It would probably just be an "internal" GPA for the university.lawbreakr wrote:Has this ever happened? Back to the main subject, I had an even worse GPA than yours, but a higher LSAT. You can definitely get into schools right now with the way it's an applicant's market. Scholly's I'm not so sure about. USD maybe, but not with a 161. Get a higher like close to 170 and I bet you can get $$$ if not $$$$.

Re: 2.65 / 161
I had basically your exact stats and got into similarly ranked schools with money when law school admissions were way more competitive. I think you're basically a lock to get in. Once you get above the 75th LSAT at these places, you are in. Try to nail the retake for scholarship purposes, but you can rest easy you'll get in.fieryking wrote:

Re: 2.65 / 161
Wouldn't you admit though that private tutors are more so for people who struggle with key concepts that they need to get into the high 150s/mid 160s? I'm not gonna make excuses but I seriously underperformed on testday in comparison to timed PTs I previously did, hence I don't see the value in hiring a private tutor especially when I don't have the funds. I apologize for generalizing though I'm sure that some instances a private tutor is well worth the money, I just don't think I'm one of those cases.benwyatt wrote:AfroJordan23 wrote:
I don't have money for a private tutor and even if I did fuck that noise. I was PTing around 170ish for a solid two months prior, I don't think there is any magic formula some douchebag getting paid 50$ an hour will be able to give me that will make much difference. I uncharaceristically went -4 and -4 on each LR and also did awful on RC -7. I think my main issue was a mix of nerves and making stupid careless mistakes which I don't intend on doing again. My plan over the next 3 months is to spend one month drilling heavily and the next 2 doing the 20 PTs I left untouched incase I needed a re-take
As a "douchebag getting paid 50$ [sic] an hour" I can tell you that we make that money because the things we can teach you actually work.
As for the second bolded statement, did you plan to make stupid, careless mistakes the first time?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
