Pro lacrosse is more impressive than D1 football? Really? I think D1 football is pretty high up there right.

Yeah, I think you're right. Nobody watches professional lacrosse. You also have to think that choice of sport selection factors into the competitiveness. Sports are skill based, but there are physical traits that drastically raise the likelihood one can be good at a sport that have a lot of overlap. I'm sure the average college wide receiver could have been an awesome lacrosse player.
