But re-take anyway with that GPA. Get 2-5 more points and feel the scholarship love.

Don't listen to Mal he's either being belligerent or trying too hard to make you retake. You should still retake, but you'll get into a T14 if you don't. But you still should.

Retake, but only after taking 20+ practice tests that all include a dummy 5th section. On the days you don't take a PT, drill a section or two of what you screwed up most the previous day.
Or, you know, don't and pay sticker for GULC. Your call.

By I'm not into prepping...I'm not saying I'm lazy. I just don't want to spend time on a test like the LSAT. Schools different.
For the last test, I read the Princeton review book about all the sections and took about 10 practice tests. I scored right in the middle...leaning to the high end of my practice scores with the 168.
If I retake, I'll probably do the same thing...take about 10 practice tests and then take the real one.
What do you all think about that game plan? And yes I realize people buy books and study every kind of problem. I'm just not going to do that...chalk it up to my laziness if you like.
Thanks again, everyone has been very helpful!!
You're an idiot.

Probably a rich K-JD who thinks nothing of spending an extra $100k of his daddy's money because he doesn't want to spend 100 hours studying for the LSAT.

I wouldn't phrase it so caustically but I think the OP doesn't realize just how soul-crushingly expensive law school is (even for the upper-middle class) and just how easily the scholarship money comes with a high LSAT score.Gucci Mane wrote:Probably a rich K-JD who thinks nothing of spending an extra $100k of his daddy's money because he doesn't want to spend 100 hours studying for the LSAT.
The LSAT is NOT the SAT's. You're going to get absurd amounts of money if you do well on it. It'd be the difference between paying $250,000 and $25,000 in student loans (plus insane student loan interest). You would have to be in multi-millionaire status to not bat an eye at dropping upwards of $85k a year for your kid.
Also, saying "I'm not a good tester" or "I'm not much of a prepper" is a bad mindset to get into, especially for law school. Those excuses don't really satisfy anyone. UG profs are more sympathetic and tolerant of the BS. Nobody cares about your circumstances, they just want the results. I think that's something people gain via work experience and just overall maturity. I didn't have that perspective coming out of undergrad (I was only 21 also) but there has to be a shift in that eventually regardless of law school
