My pleasure. If I was you I would literally do everything in my power to boost that GPA. I wasn't saying that GPA doesn't matter, I was saying that everything else would help EXCUSE your GPA. If you boost it up to a 3.7, they won't have much to excuse, and will instead debate how much money they need to throw your way to outbid the other guys.

In addition, though your LSAT score is AWESOME, I would entertain a retake if you're up for it. Every point you gain from here is potentially worth tens of thousands of dollars, and you have nothing to lose except the registration fee (schools just take your highest, regardless of what they claim).

Just imagine if you bump yourself up to a 3.7/175 AA Male, with those softs. You would be SET.

to be honest, I took it the first time a few months ago having only done about 5 PTs and the Kaplan book, and with no knowledge of this site. I was happy with my score and content to not take it again. But knowing about the Powerscore Bibles, more tips, having taken it once, etc - I suppose I genuinely believe, perhaps naively, I can score 3+ points higher. I am taking it next June, so we'll see how that goes.

Dude, you can definitely bump that score up. Burn all your Kaplan materials and spend a month going through the LR/LG Bibles. Then do 2 practice tests a week, thoroughly reviewing your answers until you are consistently hitting 177+, at which point you're ready to retake. Follow a study guide on the LSAT forum. Plithypike's is a good one. Shoot for a 180, I bet you can do it if you got your 170 after only 5 PTs and a Kaplan book. I went from a 170-->179.

Real nice of you to say man. You can do the same and better. I was (un)lucky enough to see and live, first hand, what it's like to be stuck in a generational, systemic web of poverty in a country whose calling card is opportunity and social mobility. Folks just need a way out and a way up.

Find something you care about and go do something about it.

I'm definitely on track and I hope to serve my community a lot more, but it was very humbling to see what you've already accomplished. I wish you luck, but I know you won't need it.
