Yes I always time myself and work within the constraints of an 'actual' test.
Took another today and I hit 175 for the first time. The PowerScore books are really good if you put the time in and practice consistently every day of the week.

Wow, that's very impressive. I'm envious. Have you finished the Powerscore books yet? Because I am only about a quarter to a third through them, I haven't started taking practice tests yet (other than my original diagnostic, which was a measly 155).
I think if you are already at a 175, I would keep practicing until you are in the very high 170s consistently, since you seem to have a knack for it. With a 3.7 and a 175+, I think you have a very real shot at Harvard. If not, then CCN (Columbia, Chicago, and New York University--my goal schools) are definitely in the bag, perhaps with some scholarship money thrown in.
