@LSAT smasher: Why stay in a state with a "Three Strikes Law" when you have two strikes ?

Uh......I guess I would move if I was planning on breaking more laws.

Seriously though, I may move out of state some time but I'd like to finish up my education first.

Do you think that all crimes are pre-planned ? (Premeditated ?)

P.S. My understanding of the California Three Strikes sentencing law is that the third offense--which triggers the harsh penalties--is not limited to serious or violent felonies.

You are correct sir! I can steal some children's Tylenol or be a look out and receive a third strike. I appreciate your concern and I have thought about moving and hopefully I will someday. However, California is not the only state with the "Three Strike Law" and most places I would like to live have some variation of it. All I wanted to do was share my experience with the OP so I can no longer contribute to hijacking this thread.
