Yea yea yea. Nyc is too exhausting for me, I can't imagine living there and going to law school. If you don't get it this year, I'd ED to UPenn next year and I'd be very surprised if you didn't get it. I think it's kind of silly to do that when you could get NYU, but each to their own. Living somewhere you don't love for 3 years for better job prospects seems like a good trade to me. It's not as if you're deciding between two wildly different places like Texas and NYC.

Are the job prospects that much better at NYU than Penn? Seems pretty equal to me on Law School Transparencyhdsoc wrote:OP would be giving up scholarship money...but not to Penn. Outside of Michigan, Georgetown, they're unlikely to get big $$ in the t-14.

I would apply ED to Northwestern first, once they defer you to regular decision I would send the ED to Penn. If you get NW thats a free ride in Chicago, which I would take over Uchicago anyways

As someone that got into 2 T10's with lower LSATs and around your GPA, it's certainly possible even without ED, though you need good WE, recs, softs, and a good PS (but that's true no matter what)

Similar stats as you and I'm in a similar position you're in right now (didn't ED anywhere, although I don't have as strong of personal preferences as to where I go). You'll can almost certainly get into Penn with ED, and although I've yet to hear back from most places, I'm sort of regretting not doing it.
