I imagine people are Ivies are just smarter and therefore tend to have better softs, better LSAT, better writing, etc. to get them into better law schools.

Ivies, yes. The bias toward highly regarded schools will only get stronger in the T14.

There is significant grade inflation at Ivy League schools. That being said, it's too difficult to compare GPAs across schools.

169 will put in in play Cornell, Georgetown, and Michigan
170-171 for some of the other lower T14's (Duke, UPenn)
172 puts NYU into likely territory
173+ for Chicago and Columbia.
