If staying in for a few semesters to raise that GPA is possible, do it. There is a large difference between a 3.0 and 3.2. (And from 3.2 to 3.4; 3.4 to 3.6 as well).
Do an extra year, take 18 hours each semester of easy classes, and get A+ in every class.

Dude, asking what your chances are at any Ivy makes you sound really naive.

Sorry I've just always felt that being associated with IVY gives that individual automatic prestige in the employment world.

In terms of law school admissions, it's based upon rank of the school/tiers.
Edit: all of the ivy league law schools are ranked very high, though. But Cornell, for instance is ranked under Stanford and U. Chicago and Berkeley.

is that why Ivy is in all-caps?brian71 wrote:Sorry I've just always felt that being associated with IVY gives that individual automatic prestige in the employment world.
As emkay said, going to U of Chicago would be more prestigious than going to Cornell. Unfortunately, it's how the employers feel about prestige, not how you feel about it, haha.
