A 3.4 isn't really that bad. It's no great shakes or anything, but I don't think it's going to kill you at either NU or Michigan (as a resident, you definitely have a shot ED with a 169+). Just double check the year rules on re-taking since I think there are restrictions and I hope you didn't max out (and if you did, just wait until the old scores lapse). There is no reason to leave a good job for a law degree at an "okay" school like Illinois, Indiana, ND, Minnesota, etc.

Has anyone stated the obvious? Just go to the state school that you live in. You seem like a prime candidate for any of those and they're all about the same. You're not gonna do much better.

The 151 is 3 years old so I definitely can take it again. In fact, I believe after 5 years they are invalid. So I don't know if I even need to disclose ones that are 5+

I agree with you. This has been a long process for me. There was a point in my life about 3 years ago that I would have sacrificed my unborn child to attend ND. Now Im thinking T14 or nothing. Crazy how life changes as you get older.

BigA, the only in state school worth attending in Michigan is Michigan. At this point I'd be wasting my $ applying there.

Thanks for the confidence. I've been studying on and off for a couple years. It took me about 4 months of solid studying (2 hrs a night) to go from a 151 to a 161. About another 3-4 to a 166. I guess I should be able to crack 170 with another 3-4, if the trend holds. I wonder just how much more difficult it it is to move up from this point than it was at the lower echelon?
