Ya im thinking that if I need to retake, ill do that June 2012 and just wait for next cycle.bport hopeful wrote:If you dont do as well as you could, retake though. Seriously. Dude, I retook this October and I understand it's torturous, but srsly? If you want to freak out come and freak out here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3#p4833713 instead of making a whole thread that is ultimately pointless.ColumbiaChamp wrote:you have no idea. i'm really paranoid and I worked really hard on my GPA and I don't want to waste it on a shitty school b/c I bombed the lsat.crumpetsandtea wrote:I was PTing at an average of 173, fell below 170 only 3 times out of 30 total PTs. haha fair enough. the purpose of this thread was not to freak out but it seems people don't like hypothetical scenarios, so it just got hijacked and people started saying I got 140crumpetsandtea wrote:Dude, I retook this October and I understand it's torturous, but srsly? There's a whole thread devoted to the neurosis that comes with waiting for an LSAT score, and it exists so that the 'What are my Chances' forum doesn't get cluttered with a bajillion people who just took the LSAT going "IM PRETTY SURE I GOT A 165 WHAT DOES THAT MEAN" only to discover they got a 159, or a 178, or something else which then leads to them posting ANOTHER thread going 'JK I GOT THIS LSAT SCORE WHAT DOES THAT MEAN'ColumbiaChamp wrote:haha fair enough. the purpose of this thread was not to freak out but it seems people don't like hypothetical scenarios, so it just got hijacked and people started saying I got 140

Re: Lets just say...
Assuming you do actually get around a 167 an ED to Chicago might be the better play. I haven't looked at LSN in awhile but I think out of CCN Chicago was the friendliest to high GPA lowish LSAT ED applicants.

Actually most people I've talked to/know (including myself) performed at the upper range of PT scores. Depends on how stress affects you I guess.kaiser wrote:So your PT's were around 170 or above? On game day, the usual expectation is that you will score around the "floor" of your PT range, or a bit below that level. So if your PT's were in the range of 168-172, then 167 seems like a reasonable prediction. But if 167 is at the higher end of your practice range, or even your dead on average, I wouldn't expect that score on the real thing since nerves so often play a role in the final result.ColumbiaChamp wrote:...I got a 167 on the October LSAT. Is there any chance I could get ED to NYU with a 4.18 LSDAS GPA, non-urm but an immigrant with socio-economic difficulties, etc. (PS about that)
I know I will get kittens thrown at me because I don't have an actual score but the anxiety is killing and I feel like a 167 is a reasonable score to expect given my PTs and how I felt on game day.

That's what Im hoping for. I felt more focused and finished all LR sections when I usually don't have time for 1 or 2 questions on PTs.Curious1 wrote:Actually most people I've talked to/know (including myself) performed at the upper range of PT scores. I like to think that I am. I usually do better under pressure, I guess we'll know for sure when the scores come out.BiglawOrBust wrote:But what if OP is clutch?kaiser wrote:So your PT's were around 170 or above?
