i think your odds at cornell are probably your best on here, but if you prefer hot weather, i'd ED to UCLA.

i don't think these other schools will happen. i also think that MVP would be a waste of your ED. I'd throw it at GT.

I just don't think UVA will happen being below both medians. If you were 165 and a 3.88 then fine. If you were a 3.3 and a 171 then fine, but you're in the worst position there among people with respectable #'s. Same deal at Penn and Mich.

like i said its a long shot and might as well send one out, if i do UVA on the first day applications are available, even with a rejection i would have sent out a EA to Cornell

You are still almost assuredly out. Of all the T14 Cornell seems like your best shot but it is still so small and beyond unlikely that there is no point thinking about it. Of course apply to those schools, but don't even get your hopes up a smidge.

Looking on LSN last year there were around four, but this year there were only two and both went to prestigious undergrads. They are still very much the exception and you are not likely to make it. There really is no point in obsessing over it at this point, you send your application to Cornell this fall and if you get in you get in and if you don't you don't.

Looking at LSN (iirc), UCLA probably not but an outside shot at USC. Though ED'ing to either of those is a bad idea since sticker at either of them is a bad idea.

ETA: Looked at LSN again and USC isn't as rosy as I thought. Can't you draw your own conclusions from looking at LSN graphs?

Because entertainment is a small field and you can't guarantee you will get a job in that field and UCLA doesn't even give you a coinflip's chance at a 6 figure salary (which people usually use as the justification for sticker, but even then there are people who say that even a 50% chance at a 6 figure salary is not high enough to risk $200,000+ in debt).

Where do you want to work? You're prime for strong regionals and I would apply to as many as you like and try to leverage scholarship offers. I imagine that if you want to work in the northeast that BU/BC will probably be the best especially since they seem pretty generous with $ (though I don't know how generous they are for people with your numbers) on top of the fact that they are also on the cheaper side in terms of cost.

well i figured an ed at a t14 wouldnt hurt and then cornell would be an ea, and then applying to BU BC Fordham and Gw but not sure where else, id ideally like DC, Boston, or NYC

Then BU/BC/Fordham/GW are your best bets for that. I'd still throw apps towards WUSTL/Illinois/etc for possible scholarship leverage with BU/BC. Fordham tends to be stingy and GW doesn't negotiate scholarships. Also, GW tends to take an all or nothing approach to scholarship money.

You could, but if anything you're probably going to get something piddly like $30,000 total (which is basically meaningless when looking at their $225,000+ sticker price). LSN makes it seem like you either need to have a 3.8+ or be a URM to get their $105,000 scholarship. I mean you might get that one, but I really doubt it.

id love BU but they seem really unpredictable, with money and acceptances, maybe if i wrote a why BU essay that would sway them to money
