To answer OP, your finance/spanish major is fine. Finance really isn't unusual, it's actually a plus imo. Am I right, Pauli?

just chipping in to help OP
I'm a 167/3.9 with the following results with no ED, applied mid november:
Columbia - Held
NYU - Out
Chicago - WL
Berk - Out
Penn - WL
Michigan - WL
UVA - pending
Duke - pending (3/2 review date so hopefully soon)
Cornell - pending (3/4 review date so hopefully soon)
I really think that I should have ED'ed to Penn but oh well. Banking on Cornell at this point

Ya, UVA or Michigan is more likely with ED than Penn. If you don't get UVA and want to ED to one of those two next year it is an option. But, if I were you i'd retake and because with an extra 4-6 points you'd be competitive anywhere in the country.paulinaporizkova wrote:Yikesdamage-inc wrote:just chipping in to help OP

I think I've had a better cycle than you but IMO, having a 167 and high GPA sucks.....I also doubt you would have gotten Penn on the first go-around with ED....possibly off the WL, but don't regret not EDing

I'm just chiming in here, because your stats are remarkably close to mine and I'm trying to pay it forward.
(Actually, not at all: TLS gave me sucky advice.)
Go for all of the T-14, because you never know! I've gotten into CLS, NYU, Penn, Michigan, Virginia, Duke, and GT with almost exacting numbers. (Non-URM)

Thanks for the help everyone! And neonx, I sent you a PM.
Also, if anyone else has similar stats and has been through a cycle recently (or received further advice), please let me know.
