So you're saying they treat a 165 like a 120?

No what I'm saying is they treat their 25 percentile range as the absolute min. So if a school had a LSAT range of 169 - 173 the absolute min needed would be a 169 unless you are a urm

Oh ok. Well I guess that sucks for me. I'm not unhappy with a 165 so if they don't want me it's just how it is.

He's saying they don't like to dip below their 25th so it might as well be their 1st (I think that's what he's saying at least).

Also, the way that schools let people below their 25th in is that they take people who have one number at or above 75th and at or below 25th. That's what makes you a "reverse splitter", your GPA is above 75th for almost every T14, but your GPA is at or below 25th.

It's generally more beneficial to be a splitter (high lsat lower GPA) than reverse splitter because of the weight that is given to the LSAT. However, your LSAT is in no way terrible and your GPA is awesome so you still have a chance at some T14's. To maximize that chance you should apply early next cycle.

I'm ok with going to a lesser school and coming out with very little debt. I don't really know my long term goals but I do know I want to stay in Philadelphia so Temple and Villanova with a lot of money would work. If I really blow it out of the water my first year I can always apply to transfer.

Not to be rude but you should prob have a clear idea of your long term goal before law school

Law school can be used for just about anything. I know plenty of people in business with law degrees. People who own stores. Unlike medical school, law school does not have to equal a set path.
