Re: 177/3.92 Almost no extracurriculars/work experience
Hey everyone. I'm in at every school you wish you could go to. I'm worried because I'm not positive if I can get into one of HYS. Not that anyone ever knows if they can get into these schools. Basic requirements are having a 175 and a 3.9. Then they just throw all the names in a hat and pick until the class is full. So.... what do you think my chances of having my name picked out of a hat are? Any advice is welcome. kthxbye.

Cliched, but still good.
I find this topic sort of funny, because those are pretty near my numbers, and you can't teach LSAT without occasionally wondering...

Out everywhere above WUSTL. They should give you a good scholarship if you are okay with midwest. Best advice is to retake.

Can we start an anteater thread? I'm sorry but I laughed my ass off when I saw this. I think my co-workers think I enjoy my job to much when I laugh like this.....never good because they inevitably throw more work at me to supress my happinessFuManChusco wrote:

Grades are awesome, but with no extras, it could go either way for top 3. Outside of top 3 you're in with $$.

Actually thats only true for Y and S. From what I understand H is very numbers based and OP is probably in regardless.kkklick wrote:Grades are awesome, but with no extras, it could go either way for top 3. Outside of top 3 you're in with $$.

I only deduced that from the fact that people on the forums have discussed 4.0/180's not getting into some of the top 3. But all things considered you are right Harvard is probably a lock.Ragged wrote:Actually thats only true for Y and S. I have never heard of a 4.0 180 getting rejected from Harvard (have they?) I have on the other hand known someone personally who went to OU that was rejected from Stanford with a 4.0 180kkklick wrote:I only deduced that from the fact that people on the forums have discussed 4.0/180's not getting into some of the top 3. This guy had a pretty horrible cycle: 3.97/180 rejected from HYSCC, attending NYU.AssumptionRequired wrote:I have never heard of a 4.0 180 getting rejected from Harvard (have they?) Also this guy: 4.2/179 Mexican rejected from HY, turned down S for GULC.

I love the book in your avatar, it lets me know that we could never be friends.s0ph1e2007 wrote:mcted wrote:Founder and pres of my schools libertarian club (although many people tell me not to mention that for political reasons).
I think OP should mention this
he/she doesn't have a lot of other extracuriculars. Having a club he/she started and was president of could suggest she was just very dedicated.
Could work very well for her
I'm no expert. Just my two cents.
