Yeah, didn't realize I was being so inflamatory, just awed by UVA's hardass playbook.

You're one to talk with a 3.22 GPA ripping on "poor" GPAs or LSATs. I hope you don't go to UVA; you seem to have a very unpleasant personality. I just read your post discouraging people to post articles on how to succeed in law school; "noone but the gods will be top 10%"- really, boy?

I think he was making the point that if everyone knew (and practiced) the techniques/study habits of those on TLS, achieving a high class rank would be next to impossible. Of course, with the incredibly small percentage of law students who actually read/follow TLS, that comment was probably unnecessary. The benefit of having a community where people are supportive and helpful (for the most part) is much greater than any increase in competition it might bring about.

TLS members compose more than 10% at some schools (I saw that the UVA TLS'ers last year numbered over 40), so his concerns might be warranted.

Regardless, it's rude to preclude people from giving advice on how to do well on an internet forum. It's very helpful to those reading and everyone is welcome to read advice on how to do well. What he is suggest is equivalent to hiding books in the law library, and this attitude begets distrust and a lack of collegiality between classmates. Why hide good advice?

Hmmm yea, i mean i agree with you. But i also dont feel that everyone who is admitted and visits this site is involved enough to look into study tips.

I do think this community, when looked at as being helpful, is a great good.
