OK... I thought you might be, although I don't think you had said so or anyone else had asked. That is a complete game changer, and if you score a 170, you should do very well, assuming that the rest of your application is strong and your GPA doesn't disqualify you from certain T14 schools. I'm not sure if the "unofficial" gpa cut-offs apply to URMs. I'm sure at some of the T14 they do, but I have to think that some will relax their GPA cut-offs for URM.

Good luck on the LSAT. Score a 170 and you need not look at any of the other schools on your list other than Georgetown. You should add some top schools to your list though.

So one thing all of those founders have in common is that they all went to GULC. And yesterday at the law forum in dc, i spoke with the admission director about them and my hs and she knew about it and sounded excited to see me. My hs is a law-related college prep school but the thing is im the only alumni so far that is applying to law school.

URM status changes the ballgame. Get that GPA up to 3.0 and blanket T-14. With your URM status and connections to GULC, it seems like you're in there.

We are kind of in the same boat here. Im a Jr as well and have about the same GPA. The only difference is that I am Hawaiian and there is no clear way to say that I am a URM.

With a 170 I am sure you can get into top schools.

You can look on LSN to see what schools care about LSAT more.

I wish Hawaiian was as clear cut as Black in terns of URM status but whatever.

IF you actually get a 170, apply to all of T14 plus the typical midwestern splitter schools (WUSTL, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana-Bloomington, etc.)

But you are a URM, so I don't think you need to worry about schools outside of T30- you'll get into a T14.

Let's wait on a score though. Don't worry, it's just a few more days if you took it in June

Apply to Midwestern splitter schools as though you'll get very little boost. Apply to reaches like you'll get a big boost.

Make sure your grammar and writing is better on any and all correspondence with prospective law schools than it is on this message board.

Apply anywhere you would go in the T14. Whenever you get your score, e-mail schools and ask for a fee waiver. If you get a 170, someone will take a chance on you.
