Sometime on Friday, hopefully in time for dinner with faculty.
I hope they give out lots of swag.

Thanks Soj for putting this together. I'll be getting in Friday afternoon - staying at the Sheraton. I'm looking forward to the class visits on Monday the most. Have already had an informal housing tour but can't wait to be amazed again! Panels should be informative too. Less than a week away!

sweet! I love ASW b/c there's tons of free food to go around.
I recommend you guys find time to check out:
- Arillaga gym
- swimming pools
- football stadium (free admission to all Stanford students)
- golf course & driving range
- Arillaga dining hall (all you can eat meals for $6/lunch and $7/dinner -- great for when you're too lazy to cook)
- Ike's sandwich in the engineering campus. If you've never had Ike's and you're not from the bay area definitely check it out
- Cantor art museum (free!)
Feel free to ask the librarian if you can check out of the 6 available bikes and take a tour of the campus.
I'll update the list if I can think of more. I know there limited amount of time but I would just avoid going to all the talks since you don't really learn that much from them and they get a bit repetitive, especially if you've been to other ASW.

Definitely my preference, too.

There's always a few people in suits, but it's those people who look out of place, not the rest of us in jeans.

Nice shorts if it's 80*+?

If it's 80+ (and it's supposed to be on Saturday), shorts would be pretty common around the law school during the day.
It does get cool pretty quickly after the sun goes down, though, so keep that in mind. (Not cold, but it's can be an adjustment if you aren't used to it -- gorgeous all day, then the temp drops about 10 degrees in an hour when the sun goes down.)

#4 and 5 in Dean Deal's most recent email were amazing. I wonder how many eager responses she will get explaining Twitter lingo...

1L here. I don't remember anyone wearing a suit last year. You won't be out of place wearing shorts.
