Cornell March 11 ASW
Is anyone else going to this? If so, where are you planning to stay? Hotels in Ithaca are expensive.

I haven't decided. Subsidy I got isn't enough to even cover airfare. Also, it's down in the 20's this weekend. Not exactly welcoming (though it'll hopefully be warmer in a few weeks).

Yeah it's kind of sad that it's two days away and apparently no one's going.Emma1 wrote:bump

Re: Cornell March 11 ASW
Probably because everybody is so confident about Cornell that they don't need to visit. In any case, it should be a balmy 40 (or so) here in Ithaca come Friday. I am sure there will be a good crowd here.

It might also have to do with Cornell's stingy travel stipend policy

If they would have admitted me more than 48 hours ago, I might have considered it. Now, I don't really have the time to make plans.

Re: Cornell March 11 ASW
Yeah I think schools put themselves at a disadvantage when they don't have a significant amount of their admits before the ASWs. I'm going to be gone all next week on visits since it's my spring break, but I will try to post my thoughts on here.ScarryBakhtin wrote:If they would have admitted me more than 48 hours ago, I might have considered it. Haha! : ) I wanted to go, but the travel subsidy wouldn't even cover half of my travel expenses (or the snow boots I'd have to invest in haha). Have fun! Let us know how it goes.

How was this? I have finals this week so obviously couldn't make it, but will be visiting this coming Friday. What sort of events did you get, etc.

I didn't go to the ASW, but I visited last weekend so here's my 2 cents:obsessedandproud wrote:Bump.. I would like to know as well!DorianGray89 wrote:So what did people think?
Facilities are MAGNIFICENT. By far the nicest/ most majestic of any school I've been to. The moot courtroom was breathtaking. Class was fairly interesting and kept me engaged the entire lecture even though I hadn't done the reading (obviously), though that's not really fair, since it was on murder.
hughes dining is good but would make you sick to eat there too often.
Ithaca is nice, cute little town. I would definitely get sick of it after more than three years, but 3 is survivable. I think.
Anything I missed?
