ASW During The Masters?!

Post by crackberry » Sun Apr 04, 2010 9:35 pm

Seriously, Cornell, Vandy, Berkeley, what the fuck?

It should be a crime. Anyone who would rather go to a law school ASW than watch The Masters clearly does not have sufficient reasoning skillz to be a lawyer.

Good point, but Vandy did have another ASW a few weeks ago, and as far as I know there were no major golf tournaments going on that weekend. To make up for it this weekend, BLSA will be holding its annual talent show Friday evening. Plus there are like six bars within stumbling distance of the law school where you could ditch events to watch on flatscreens, including a new one that opened up to Loser's (appropriately called Winner's) and Rebar, which has a large outdoor patio and flatscreens facing the street. So even if you get all rowdy watching golf and end up getting kicked out of the bar you can still watch from the curb.

Corner Pub is still my favorite though, even with the new additions. Their cheese-beans and fried pickles are excellent, as are their buckets of PBR tall-boys.

Playing golf is one thing... but watching golf?? Save yourself the time and watch the highlights.

I think they were more concerned about avoiding their ASW conflicting with March Madness.

But not necessarily incorrect. :P

I feel we should be more outraged that the ASWs fall on baseball's opening weekend.

While I didn't think "trust-fund baby," I did think, "Oh yeah, didn't he go to a fancy-shmancy private prep school?"

Edit:

I had tickets to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 and skipped out on them to go to an ASW. Masters? Give me a break.

Chicago has the same fatal flaw. It really is a shame. Hopefully it will be on every tv every time I turn around.

+1, couldn't agree more. I left work early thurs and fri to catch the action on the telly. I'd give my left arm to play Augusta. Some of these ppl who are shootn hate your way seriously need to shutdown the computer and go outside, maybe talk to a girl (that may be stretching it a tad).
