I'm going, I'm pretty excited. It has come down to choosing between Cornell and Georgetown for me and I'm really torn. I was leaning toward Cornell but then visited Georgetown and loved it so Georgetown pulled ahead.

Looks like I will be there for the April 9th ASD. Hopefully, I actually make it to Ithaca this time and not just Omaha. :)

Has anyone heard from APALSA yet? I gave the admissions office my info 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything.
My email re diversity weekend says "The fun begins around 5pm on Thursday, April 8th, and runs through dinner on Saturday, April 10th"

I'll get in too late for the thurs night dinner but I might stay for the dinner on saturday even though that would mean taking the 1am bus back to ny.

Anyone heading up from NYC and interested in carpooling? Otherwise I'll probably take the bus, as the flight to Syracuse doesn't seem to save much time after factoring in airport travel time.

Yay, 100 dollar travel subsidy. I think today is the last day to get your form in (online submission), just a heads up.

Hi guys, I'd like to go and am planning my trip now. If anyone is planning on driving from NYC, I'll fly into there and carpool with them, as I'm hoping to be in NYC after the ASD is over.

Otherwise I guess it's looking like I'll fly into Syracuse then take a bus from Cornell to NYC.

I'll be there, driving up from my school which is about 45 minutes away. Does anyone know what the parking situation is like on Cornell campus for guests?

I'll probably take the short line bus thurs night too. Do you have to buy the tickets at port authority in advance, it doesnt have an online option.

Yeah it looks like you have to get them in person.

I just went to visit Cornell this week (I can't make it next weekend), and this is indeed the case. The ticket booth is on the 2nd floor of Port Authority, and the bus will probably leave from one of the gates 314-316.

The price quote on the website also seems to be wrong. It cost me $60 each way. I heard that you can buy a ticket on the bus itself if you don't have time to visit the booth, but I don't know if this is correct.

I got a round trip ticket for $107...did you buy the tickets individually for $60?

I fly in Thursday afternoon as well (and no diversity events for me... regular ASD), so if anyone else from out of town wants to grab dinner Thursday night, let me know!

Where are people staying? I was only admitted last week, so I only had a little time to plan the trip. All of the hotels linked on the Cornell Law School website are completely booked that weekend. I'm looking at the B&Bs and I won't have a car, so that rules out a large portion of the B&Bs.

I bought the tickets last week. The late bus + having to haul my stuff around since I have to check out of my hotel means that I'll have to leave after the tour on Saturday. I'm planning on taking the 2:50pm bus back to NYC.

I'm at the Super 8 motel, which is like 2 miles from the law school. Bus line runs nearby to the school, but I'll have a car as well. If you're nearby I'm sure I could drive you.

There is visitor parking in a parking garage adjacent Schoellkopf Field (the football stadium). It's pretty convenient to the law school. You'll pay 10-12 dollars a day, I think, for the visitor parking passes, which can be purchased at info booths around campus. The law school might have these available for free though for ASD visitors. I'd ask.

I'll be there, by the way.

I'll be flying in on Thursday and out on Saturday, any ideas on how I should spend my first evening in Ithaca? Would anybody out there want to arrange something/dinner?
3 dollar Long island Ices Teas at Dunbars in collegetown. It is on the corner of Dryden and Eddy streets. It is a full glass of liquor for three bucks (nasty cheap stuff though). Great buzz for 9 bucks plus tips.

Atrocious mostly. There is on street parking all over Collegetown though. They just ended one side of the street parking so there should be plenty of spaces.

I'll be back fro NYC by Thursday night if anyone wants a tour or any info. (I'm UG so I don't a ton about the law school).

My friend (a recent alum) insisted I should dress casual.
I am staying with a student (the student groups set it up) and arriving late thurs night from nyc, then if all goes well, leaving sat night on the 1am bus back. Would rather go back earlier but seems like the only evening option!
