Minnesota in March
My wife and I are flying up for the MN ASW. Who else is going to be there? Anyone have any questions you'd like me to ask?

Since you and I are the only one's who will be there, I should be able to spot you. If not look for the other over 30 guy with the wife that looks like a short Julianne Moore.

I'll be there, too! Flying in on Tuesday, staying til Sunday (staying with the 'rents, so I don't have to worry about paying for a hotel). Can't wait to meet everybody!

Re: Minnesota in March
I'm visiting in April.
That's um, not March.
But, seemed tangentially relevant.

Re: Minnesota in March
I should have tried to convince one of you to live blog the ASW

FWIW, there's also an ASW on April 16-17, but no TORT performance and it's after a lot of other schools' deposit deadlines (as I realized too late, heh!).Slimpee wrote:When is it? If you all do a meet-up I may join you...

The weather was surprisingly pleasant. I really liked the school and it's moved further up my list.

Yeah. The school has really impressed me so far. I am very close to sending in my seat deposit.

Re: Minnesota in March
I love you, Minnesota. I went to the Campus Preview as a skeptic, but now I can't imagine myself comfortable at any other school (and I've visited upwards of twenty schools). From the prospective students to the professors to the city, I'm thoroughly pleased. It's funny because I only applied to the school on a whim, when I was offered a waiver. I'm saving up for my seat deposit now.
Also, the TLS meetup was excellent. Maxwell's FTW.

Re: Minnesota in March
Maxwell's was awesome. In fact there were a lot of awesome bars I got to experience this weekend. I was really impressed by the night life in Minneapolis, and the overall vibe of the city. It was awesome getting to meet other TLSers, and the admitted students seemed to be an awesome bunch. I went from Minnesota being an afterthought, to having it truly as my top choice. Everything about my experience was fantastic, and I was really glad that I decided to go this weekend.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the city and the school! (although I hate all of you who say you're attending...I need more spots open for the WL!)
