I used cheaptickets. When I first looked at flights last friday it was $175. I check back saturday $360. Sunday $370. monday $275 tues $225 tues night $166 and booked. Seems like you should look for a trend to avoid ripoff. $170 to $370 is a pretty big difference in a flight. Just a heads up. I went through Orbitz.

Re: UVA ASWs 2010
I'm watching the Hoos crush UNC, pricing the March ASW and hoping they make the tourney but don't play during the activities on Friday or while I am traveling. I also have a question for you guys. Is anybody planning to stay through Saturday night? I would prefer to leave on Saturday, but I want to have time to check out apartments while I'm there and the earliest flight I can get into Cville would arrive at 1 pm on Thursday. That's not alot of time and it looks like we'll be pretty busy on Friday.

Man, if only I could get accepted. Can you burst into the admissions office and like...tell them to admit me!YCrevolution wrote:I'll probably be a more boring host (unless you liked to be regaled with tales of law school), but overall, I recommend student hosts since they give you a less filtered perspective of the law school experience (and it's far cheaper).maggiebre wrote:I just registered for March 19th also!
I opted to stay with a student - I think it's the best way to really get the whole picture. When you register the form asks if you're interested in going to local bars, restaurants, and even watch March Madness - so it seems like the hosts will really try to be entertaining.

Well, if you know you want to live within walking distance from the school, you could probably check out several of the places on Arlington, and maybe Ivy as well, on Thursday afternoon.Stringer Bell wrote:I'm watching the Hoos crush UNC, pricing the March ASW and hoping they make the tourney but don't play during the activities on Friday or while I am traveling. Just RSVPed and booked my trip for the 19th. I got a good deal on priceline, but it stinks because my flight back on Sunday doesn't leave until 430 pm.

We need to have some way to identify TLSers at ASW, is there any established signal? Handshake? Should we just be dicks to everyone? Maybe touch your right ear twice or something if you are in a convo with a suspected TLS member? That way you don't have to be awkward and talk about the internets irl...any thoughts?

I'm booked for March - seems like a lot of us are. Driving down Wednesday to rest a bit and explore Charlottesville/check out apartments on Thursday. Will definitely be up for going out Thurs. and/or Fri.
Looking forward to meeting y'all.

You already have a weather forecast for mid march? YCrev, you are normally a beacon of information, but this time you have out done yourself.YCrevolution wrote:It's supposed to be snowing on Wednesday. I haven't seen one, but is there a deadline for registering for ASW? Just want to make sure I don't miss it.

lol. Yeah, it's not so clear, but I did mean the Wednesday before ASW. To be honest, at first I was going to just say thanks, but then I realized that March was kind of far away for a weather forecast... so don't feel too bad.YCrevolution wrote:Oops, I read that as this Wednesday.Stringer Bell wrote:You already have a weather forecast for mid march? [Although it did snow during the first ASD last year.]
We'll see what March has to bring, but I'm coming from Canada, so I've got mads snow tires and an awesome Volvo - should be fine whatever comes (especially since C-Ville drivers should be used to all the snow by now!).

(If I were driving right now I'd probably say "fatally incorrect"... Good god are the drivers idiots here.)

It's actually under 700 miles from where I'm coming from. Depending on where in TN you're coming from, you may have a longer drive than I do...Philo38 wrote:
