Berkeley is not a dump, but I have been over there many times in the past 3 years. I have no idea what Mich is like and think this is the wiser choice.

Emmy, first round will be on me.

Muddy,

Unless its an extreme financial hardship, you have to visit Michigan. Your impression from the ASW will be fairly important in deciding between two schools of comparative quality. You have to give AA and the architecure a chance to win you over.

I agree. I was going to visit no matter what. It was just question of whether I would go over ASW or an alternate weekend. Thanks for the opinion!

I didn't see where anyone else had included this, but George Mason's is March 21-22.

yup, although Chicago has events on April 2nd as well
I really wanted to visit both schools in one trip, and now I'm debating which ASW to go to, anybody else?

Yeah I think I will. I didn't want to miss out too much on either one, although I guess this is still better than taking two separate trips to Chicago.

do you have the option to do a different asw or would you just have to do an independent visit?

Both NU and UChicago only have one ASW (as far as I know) so if you don't split time between the ASW's you would have to go to another non-ASW event like feature Friday at UofC or do an independent visit.

do we know how that affects reimbursements? i believe i heard from one of last year's threads that Chi reimbursed 200 even if it wasnt an ASW, so that could be a consideration, assuming its the same this year.
