Does anyone have this information? I'm getting an error page when I click on the link. TIAtwinkletoes16 wrote:UPDATED as of 1/12/2013.
NYU's regional events are on their ASW.

Any idea if you're still eligible for the travel stipend if you want to visit on a weekend other than ASW? Looking at Duke specifically, since they only have one.

I asked this same question about UVA, since they have an event the same time as Penn. For UVA the answer is no, you can only use the travel subsidy for visiting during the open house weekend.ph5354a wrote:Any idea if you're still eligible for the travel stipend if you want to visit on a weekend other than ASW? Not sure about Duke, I'm waiting to hear back.

Great, thanks. Would love to hear what Duke tells you when you hear back. I haven't actually gotten in yet haha, so it's a little jumping the gun for me.WinterIsHere wrote:I asked this same question about UVA, since they have an event the same time as Penn. Twinkle - next time you update can you add Penn to the "by weekend" section? (Mar 22-23)

Chicago has a one-day "Day in the Life" program on March 4. Travel expenses will be comped for that program, too

For Penn, you can add a "Penn Preview Day" on Monday, April 8th. The travel reimbursement policy page does not say anything about whether the preview day is included/covered or not, so I assume it is.

I can confirm that the Preview Day is covered by the travel reimbursement (via email with Penn admissions, asked this very question).risa wrote:For Penn, you can add a "Penn Preview Day" on Monday, April 8th. Question re: BC and BU ASW April 4th and 5th-- I'm planning on attending both that weekend. BU has already said they will reimburse me for travel costs, and I have an email into BC. What is the protocol for splitting the costs? I guess my question is: is it shady for me to turn in a hotel receipt to BC and a plane receipt to BU? Any recommendations on how to do this?

How did you or the schools figure out who would pay what? Did you discuss it with both schools ahead of time to be sure you'd be reimbursed? I'm planning to fly into NYC for the April 4-5 NYU ASW, then train or bus to Philly for Penn's Preview Day (April 8 ). I'm debating whether I should book it all on one itinerary or book each flight separately so that I can just provide one to each school.soj wrote:I did this. The trip cost $300 and I was eligible for $250 at school A and $150 at school B. Because the schools insisted on getting the detailed itinerary and the receipts, I wasn't able to turn a profit, but I was fully reimbursed (something like $200 from school A and $100 from school B).haveahat wrote:The Berkeley letter (email? Can't remember) about visiting said there was $150 from CA and $300 Out of State to visit but that they would only give that toward a "round-trip, coach ticket." This is fine for me with Berkeley but there are other schools I plan on visiting in the same trip (Fly into one airport, visit, bus/train to another school, fly out of another airport) where it would definitely not be a round-trip ticket. Does anyone have any info on how this works for other schools?

Do you receive reimbursements if you decide not to attend the school of law you visit?
