I also liked this (LinkRemoved). Never say UVA doesn't recruit creative people.

Yes--but to be perfectly honest, UVA's employment outcomes are a lot rosier (at least for my area of interest) than a lot of other schools, period. I didn't see any of those guys, but TBH, I feel like they're probably there at just about every law school. The ones at UVA are just being vocal about it.OldManHunger wrote:Only one thing matters with a choice of law school: employment outcomes. Would you drop $20k on a car without making sure it'll take you where you want to go? Well, ASW is a hard sell. Ask hard questions. Don't blame the fucking messenger.
Put yourself in their shoes--you came into law school in 2008, when the legal market hadn't quite tanked yet, and you were dreaming of $160K jobs coming out on the other side. Now you're almost graduated, and the legal job market (while it's getting better) isn't quite what it used to be before. I'm glad I'm going into law school now, because A) I'm going in with my eyes wide open, having considered all of the risks and possibilites, and B) the job market probably will have improved by the time I graduate. Maybe not fully, but I think it'll be better.
