Hmm, well I am going to stay hopeful and optimistic. Perhaps they sent a batch of acceptances today.

Yeah... I think it's similar to what others are seeing.

I don't know how much should be read into the UR/DR date changes on the SPWL -- but obviously it means they are fooling around with the files, glitch or not.
Have they "fixed" the glitch by putting the date back to what it had previously been?

They haven't "fixed" mine. I'm hoping for good news... it's been a rough couple of weeks.

Now I feel un-special as a "select" PWLer that still has an original DR date (2/3)
Any of you 3/15ers PT-only?

No, I'm full-time... I did send a LOCI almost immediately after being waitlisted... don't know if that helps/changes your perspective.

I can't help but think this despite their "glitch" explanation.

It's possible. But maybe yours would have changed too if someone had not called and informed them of the glitch. Don't drive yourself crazy over this. Start worrying on 3/23.

I also sent a LOCI immediately after. I think they definitely have our files under review, whether of not the DR means anything.

Regular PWL'er checking in. Very jealous of you SPWL'ers with your status updates, your loud music and your Dan Fogelberg...

+1 It's hard for me to remember which LOCIs went out when. April/May can't get here fast enough.
I hope I'm not saying this same thing about June/July in a couple of months.

I made a Word document to keep track of it all... If I'm still in this same place in 2 months, I'm definitely going to print it and burn it.

Or you special pwl people, when did you initially go dr? I went dr on 2/25, nothing new since.

I'm now on 8 WLs and 2 holds (neither of which I'll hear from before deposits are due).
Shockingly, I made the Chicago WL yesterday. Am I crazy to prefer GULC to Chicago for PI? I'd like to hear people's thoughts.

Same here. Not feeling so great about it considering all of the movement and new dates mentioned above.

I'm also "special" preferred.. and honestly, I think this "DR 3/15" movement may very well be the first round of WL acceptances (particularly because tls users in this group seem to have very strong stats). Unfortunately, I haven't had any movement

I hope you're right about the acceptances, but I feel for those that haven't seen any movement. Don't forget though that the SPWL email said 3/22 not the 15th... so perhaps they are doing 2 waves... spreading out their timing and allowing a few more withdraws from both accepted students and people on the waitlists. This would make sense, there are so many people withdrawing from stuff this time of year, a week can go a long way towards helping schools make safer/more informed decisions.

I don't think so. GULC has a really good LRAP (if it actually is what is proposed) plus you can work externships in the government during the semester, which will make good connections. Though a lot of people hate on GULC here, so I don't know.

How about this...is anyone who had the recent change to DR 3/15 NOT on the "special" preferred list? Because that would indicate to me that it is not, in fact, quite as special as they led us to believe! And that would be good information to have as I continue to go crazy...Any "regulars" or "preferred" (with no special group placement) see movement recently?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
