Re: Case Western 2010
My brother left me a note that Case had called and left a number where I can call and set up an appointment for a phone interview.... if I want to. I can also speak to a faculty member in my field of interest. Has anybody done this? Or know what it might mean? Does it mean they're on the fence about me, or what? Do I gain or lose anything by doing or not doing this?

Re: Case Western 2010
they didn't try to reach me, so I don't know what it could mean. I couldn't think it would hurt your chances, assuming you don't call drunk or something lol. I think it can help you, if in fact this is an admissions related call, and not something else.champ33 wrote:My brother left me a note that Case had called and left a number where I can call and set up an appointment for a phone interview.... if I want to. Yeah the call was from the office of admissions. I applied in November and felt pretty confident that my numbers put me in. Maybe they just want to make sure I'm serious about attending, since I'm from New York? Hard to say I guess, I'll give a call tomorrow.sarlis wrote:they didn't try to reach me, so I don't know what it could mean. Re: Case Western 2010
I got the same call. A nice lady in the admissions office set me up with an interview with a professor in my area of interest. I think it's a way to see if we are committed to attending (?) She mentioned the interview was for applicants who have not been able to visit the campus for a tour.champ33 wrote:Yeah the call was from the office of admissions. Re: Case Western 2010
For those of you who have gotten the call, did you write the "Why Case?" essay?

Does your status checker actually change to "committe review" or does it stay at "file in process"?angioletto wrote:Same here.MBZags wrote:I went in Committee Review today. I hope I hear something soon.

Yes, committee review.
It went from "EAP receipt" to "application complete" to "committee review." It never said "file in process" for me.

Re: Case Western 2010
Is there a consensus on the time period between "committee review" to receiving an email/decision?

Re: Case Western 2010
WTF!!!
My status just changed to " Current Status: Awaiting Phone Interview"
I mean, seriously???
They were one of my top choices but this admissions process has made me less enthused. I appreciate that they want to take their time (I guess) but it is such a long process from LSAT prep to applications to waiting that I wish they would just give me a decision, especially since I think my numbers are good for them. Tulane was one of my other top choices and they already admitted me w/ scholarship, while Case is meandering about phone interviews.
./rant ;D

Yikes. I just checked mine again and "review" is spelled correctly. How strange for them to have such a typo.km23 wrote:Current Status: Committee Reveiw

just posted this to point out how they spelled REVIEW wrong haha. It's okay, I will still consider them if accepted

Re: Case Western 2010
For anyone who has already had a phone interview:
What did they ask you?
What types of questions should I expect?
I won't be able to take a visit until the first of March, and I am not from Ohio so I expect to have to do a phone interview. I want to nail it, because case is my first choice.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
