I'm still waiting just to go complete. I got an email from them on 1/10 saying they had received my app, and that it would take 7-10 days for them to get my paper copy. Hopefully they are just super busy with it being the height of app season and something hasn't gone wrong.

I had the same problem with the slowness at Seattle U. I called them once, they told me that they were waiting on my paper LSDAS report (which had been ordered 3 weeks prior). When I called LSAC to confirm a paper report was sent, they told me that it had been sent a few weeks earlier. Then I called SU back and they said that it had been received but not processed yet. Pretty sloppy process.

How long did it take most of you (who have received decisions) to go from in review to decision rendered? I've been in review since 1/12 and I'm wondering how much longer I should expect to wait. This is one of my favorite schools, I just want to know!!!

Submitted 12/18. Received first email same day, but did not hear anything until 1/14 (status checker and complete email). Even though I received it on 1/14, I went complete on 1/4. Status remained complete 1/4, and decision status was 1/4 until it changed last friday to Deposit Pending (4/15) and Admitted (1/29), respectively.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Well, that gives me hope. I'm worried since I have yet to hear. Complete on 01/12, SU is top choice since UW is out of reach. 3.8 and 156. I should retake, but I guess I'll wait and see. Congrats!

Thanks! I'm hoping to hear back in the next 2 weeks. Also hoping for some $$$.... it'd definitely help justify the move from NJ.

Hey for those accepted and planning on attending and taking the summer course, do you know what the class schedule would be like? In terms of maybe days a week? Just want to see if I could maybe fit in a part time job.

thanks

I've been in review since 1/12! What can possibly take so long once they look at your application?

I'm expecting mine to take awhile since my numbers are borderline.... I just don't understand why it took them so long to process. And why if they've had it under review since Jan 21, why they are just now letting me know!

Accepted on status checker on 1/29. Received (rather thick) letter today: $16,000 scholarship! Pretty cool, but still waiting responses from other schools... :D (UW)

GPA 3.5 LSAT 164

*edit* just called and asked for travel stipend and they said yes, $250!

3.78/161....my last two years were all As except for one B...honors college graduate....phi beta kappa...highest distinction from the department....magna cum laude (from the University of Illinois at Chicago)

wait list.....

...so disheartening

ftr I didn't not overdo the ellipses on the personal statement.

What could have gone wrong?

Wow, I am really surprised and sorry to hear that you didn't get in. I had very similar numbers. Also your distinctions and what not are very impressive. Honestly, I think someone in the adcom could have just had a bad day or even accidently denied you.

Actually, this is the reason I applied to a ton of long-shot schools. The one factor that statistics, forums, and everything else on the internetz cannot predict well is the human factor. (Maybe someone will accidently admit us somewhere?)

BTW, I know a girl who got rejected from a T2 but accepted to UT-Austin.

Keep up your chin, and the acceptances will come!

Thanks for the vote of encouragement, Seattle is a wonderful place and I would love to live there...location location location is what counts for me.

Right now I am just wondering many things that could have gone wrong...perhaps a break between community college and UIC wasn't fully explained...i had a misdemeanor back when i was a teenager 7 years ago which was fully explained...didn't do extracurriculars since I was busy working part time and commuting 3 hours each day...perhaps the message of my personal statement (how I find solace in finiteness and how I applied it to my life) was too dark...

Just lots of second guessing....I'm a bit shell shocked...hopefully U-Dub would like me more than SU.

Don't get too discouraged, your numbers are strong and you have an impressive background. Maybe the adcomms don't believe that you'll go to seattle if accepted due to your stats and that applied to them as a safety. Also maybe location, being from Chicago you may not be likely to attend. I'm sure if you just simply write a LOCI they'll pull you off the WL eventually. Give it a shot only if Seattle is truly your number 1, or else leave some room for us! :D

I heard via online status checker from Seattle on January, 15th.

I was admitted and received my info in the mail a week later. No scholarships sadly.

I have a 3.9 gpa and I got a 158 on my LSAT. I'm also an underrepresented minority.

Hope this helps. Good luck to all!!!!
