I would send one if I were you. I did send them an addendum, and actually my second LSAT was lower than my first one(it sucks). My highest is the same as you,and I got admitted 12/22, so I think you have a good chance.

I did not write any. I took the second test exactly one year after the first one and my score difference was more than 10 points.

My status updated on 1/7. No phone call or letter yet!
Also, I applied to both programs, and that box still says "either."

Do you guys remember how long it took for you to receive Mason's "Complete" email, or the online status changed to "complete"? My LSAC report was mailed to them on 1/4/10, but the online status checker still indicates incomplete. Thanks!!

My updated report from the December LSAT was sent on 1/5, and I went complete on the status checker yesterday.

If you have a 164 and any GPA it seems like your golden, anything less and your out.
Here's my rant so read at your own warning: I believe this process is what is making GMU seem higher caliber than what it is. They accept anything with a 164 to keep their median, and then fill in the missing pieces via the waitlist if they have too. I bet you 10 bucks they probably don't read half of the applications that come in and just look at numbers.

I don't know, I don't have gpa since I am int'l applicant. But I ranked top three in my school. I just think this year things are getting crazy. It's much like a number game for law schools. They just look at number and nothing else. GMU is good for me to go, if I haven't get admission from UIUC this Friday........

I'm also going to have to disagree here... My LSAT score was LOW (156, please do not judge me I'm ashamed enough as it is) but my GPA is a 3.90 and my softs are really good. I was accepted to GMU FT (out of state) before Christmas. Maybe it was my GPA, but something tells me that they took a look at other aspects of my application in order to make a decision.

I have to somewhat agree with the above quote. I don't have a 164, my LSAT is below that, it's not a 156 either like the post above, mine is higher, but still not a 164. So you can get in with a sub-164 LSAT.

I was waitlisted. At this point, I've been accepted to schools that better match my interests, so I'll be withdrawing. Good luck to everyone

Well I actually hope your right cause I have a 164 with a 3.48 and haven't heard back from GM yet but applied back in mid november...any phone call waves or letters go out lately...my status checker hasn't changed since the day I got it.

We are identical numbers twins, and I was accepted to GMU. Applied in early October. The admissions crew seems to like folks that either have 164+ LSAT and/or 3.7+ GPAs. Makes senses because last year's medians were 163, 3.72, and the school, like every other T1 school, is playing the numbers game. It's the reality of the situation, so whether it enrages you or strikes you as unfair, we're all part of it. Good luck!

I hope the 164 will get the job done for me. For those hoping to attend: How will you pay the tuition... Virginia is extremely hard to get domicile status for out of state students. Living expenses in arlington also exceed the average for other schools. (34k + 20K)*3 = $162,000 Is there something I am missing? How do you cope with something like this?

LOCI is in the mail, and it is damn good if I do say so myself.
As for tuition, that is a bridge I will cross when I get there, but it is of concern noting the impossibility of gaining Virginia residency.

In via phone call as well. I don't know how I feel about phone call acceptances because I didn't really know what to say.

Good thing you qualified your excitement - the world would think poorly of you if you were that excited about going to a school as crappy as George Mason.

I was excited to get my first acceptance. While it was George Mason, I would have been ecstatic if it was one of my top choices. Getting one under my belt feels good whether or not it was my first choice.
Just because George Mason is your top choice doesn't mean you need to get hostile.
