I applied today! What's everyone's opinion on going to L&C if you're not interested in environmental law? It seems like they focus A LOT on that, and not on other areas of interest. I love the location but am a little worried about the strong focus on environmental law.

I went complete 11/23. My status checker never changed, and still only says complete. 3.66/ 166

did they offer you any scholarships or tell you that you would be considered?

I went complete 10/29 and haven't heard anything. I thought they don't start accepting people until January?

I got $20,000 a year. I was really surprised that I got my packet already since my status checker never changed.

Big packet in my mailbox with a beautiful pic of Mt Hood. I was afraid at first that it would just be a viewbook, especially since my status still says Complete. But a nice letter offering admission and a Dean's Scholarship for $23k/year. SO EXCITED!

Applied 10/31, complete 11/16. Stats on LSN under same name.

Kind of terrifying they don't change their checker. They should tell us that so we don't waste our time LOL.

I almost went there undergrad and it's one of my top 5 for law school. I wish I had my mailman's cell #.

any L&C #L's aware if they help out with travel expenses to visit, i hear its really expensive to fly into portland

If you receive a travel stipend for ASW, based on my experience there will be a smallish card in your packet with details. It sounds like they aren't able to provide it for all admits.

I received a note offering a travel stipend to help with airfare for ASW, but it states that they aren't able to provide it for all admits. Check in your folder, it was a smallish card.

will do, at work- roommate just texted, i figure if they liked me enough to give partial $$$ they will help with travel.

seems like the mailing probably occurred this past weekend or monday, a lot of people got their packets yesterday

it might take a while if they send everything in bulk to a large mail processing center, then youre mail would like go in a circle and back to portland i think

All the way out in Washington DC. Looks like decision was mailed Tues 12/15 and arrived Thurs 12/17.

Nope. Mine still reads "Application File Complete" as of 11/16/2009.

No. Went complete on 11/16 and date never changed (submitted 10/31).
