LSN has a hispanic female that got in with an $82,500 scholarship today....any news from the rest of you? Word is, they are supposed to have decisions for everybody who applied pre 10/30 by tomorrow.

Wayne Hutchinson called me today with a 75% tuition + additional $7500 for the 1st yr. He said there was a good chance the scholly would bump up to 100% later in the admission cycle. No strings attached on the $...no GPA I need to maintain. He said, "just show up and it's yours..." He's a nice guy.

LOL, Thanks! I'm not sure about stellar but my numbers are attractive to MSU...161, 3.5. but I have 2 grad degrees and some good public service work experience under my belt. I'm out of state in CA but I'm looking to move back to Grand Rapids after being away for the past 8 yrs. I've applied to some schools that rank higher but it's tough to say no to the practical implications of coming out of school low on debt...especially since I plan on staying in GR.

What is with this "hispanic female" fixation? Seems strange to hear about someone getting a scholarship and ask if she is a Hispanic female.

Just a joke...Hispanic females seem to be like the super-minority and can get full-ride scholarships where the average white guy would get dinged.

Alas, that's not me on LSN...that guy is white, while I, too am a URM as a Chicano/Mex. American. I'm still waiting on my $82,500 acceptance letter.

lol, didn't realize you were going to law school to be an investigative detective...You may end up seeing me up there, but as for right now, your trail runs cold. If I get in I'll pm you, which should make it easier to tell who I am on LSN.

My status checker is blank, meaning the status box only lists “Term: Year: Program Time: Degree:”

It used to say Application complete with my completion date.... Anyone else having this issue?

Yup. I have the same thing, and I was expecting a decision yesterday or today...

I tried calling admissions, but called too late, and nobody was around to pick up. I'm going to try again tomorrow if nothing has changed.

I woke up this morning and found that my status checker now reads "Admitted With Full Scholarship." Pretty good start to the day! Maybe I will get a phone call today with some more info.
