I dont like to speculate too much, but according to their own boasting, they should go up higher next year as well. The part-time division really kills the rankings. The schools in the bottom fluctuate a bunch, so who knows.

Why would they be going up? are they killing the PT program?

Re: McGeorge
Well this is by their own admission, but their "numbers" seem to look much better as far as LSAT/GPA and bar passage rates. It seems that they are headed in the right direction. The PT program will never go away, in fact it is a staple of their school as it started as a part time school way back when. Just my .02, and like I said I dont want to speculate too much, and it doesnt really matter anyway, not like they are gonna pull a Hawaii haha.

Accepted today with 10k scholly per year and first year books paid. I'm surprised about the schollie cause my #s are not high. This is my first acceptance so far, so I am super happy!so far mcgeorge is a strong contender for me. Ideally..I would love to stay in SF. Still have to wait to hear from usf and ggu. I hope to see some of you at the next legal scholars day event. Good luck to those still waiting!

Good luck to those still waiting.
Any thoughts on the recent DRs? good? bad?
I myself am waiting too...I would think schools need a bit more time to sort things out post-first deposit before admitting more to the pool?
or am I the ultimate pessimist? =/

They must have made a lot of decisions today... after three months, the checker went to DR. No plans to attend.Norwood wrote:Well it took awhile but I finally got my Decision Rendered from McGeorge.

Decision Rendered 4/22. I live just outside of Sacramento, so I am expecting the decision to arrive tomorrow, if not today.

Went DR on 4/22 and received my waitlist letter 4/24. At least its not a denial!
edit: Not much action on this forum since everyone went DR last week. I am guessing people didn't get what they were expecting.

Re: McGeorge
Only joined TLS recently after lurking most of the year.
I've already put down my quasi-deposit for McGeorge, after being accepted in early March. (No actual deposit, because of the Kennedy scholarship.) Was impressed enough by Legal Scholar Day and speaking to alumni I knew to turn down a much higher ranked school (Houston). I still can't say with 100% certainty that I'm going, because I have waitlists and pending applications, but at this point I'm not going to even consider jumping ship except for Georgetown and Chicago.
I'm told by alumni that what they say at Legal Scholar Day is genuinely not a sales pitch.

Re: McGeorge
I highly doubt this, it seems the only binding part of law school applications would be the ED, which mcgeorge doesnt do, as far as I know.christie08 wrote:Does anyone know if the deposit is binding? Thanks in advance!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
