Just got the Admitted Students Day invitation in the mail today, was a very nice little card. No additional information, however, it just directs you to the website.

So is it looking like nobody is getting partial scholarships this year?

It seems like it is conveniently planned to allow time for prospective student socializing afterwards?dt22 wrote:bhblack wrote:Still thinking about the reception myself, it's not clear what it entails. Hopefully we get more information in the near future.

I am getting on a plane tomorrow and headed to Iowa City for a couple of days. I will have a full report on Friday or Saturday, if anyone is interested.

I didn't get an invite to ASW in the mail, or my actual acceptance package. It's been almost two weeks! How long did it take you guys to get your admittance package?
edit: Apparently they were sending the stuff to my "current address" which I left in December.... *sigh*

Re: U Iowa 2010 App Cycle
I received my damaged acceptance packet about five days after the email. Two weeks means yours was probably lost in the mail. If you call them, they may be able to email the contents to you.

Was there a "package"? I think I recall a letter but not much else...

Yeah, my "package" consisted of a campus map and visitor's guide, along with a couple of letters. Nothing else too substantial. Maybe I'm just getting greedy, but that damn tote I got from Tulane set the bar way too high

Withdrew today. Was sorry to do it since Iowa's admissions office has been so awesome. Hope this helps someone else on here get an offer of admission and fellowship.

Also withdraw today. Hated doing it (turning down that money was hard), but a GPA requirement like that was not workable.

Good luck to you guys who withdrew, and thanks for not holding your spots until August so the rest of us still waiting may have a chance at your spots before school starts.

You should have written "I give all of my money to nyskidude." in your withdrawal letter. They totally would've known who I was, tooCyLaw wrote:Also withdraw today. Hated doing it (turning down that money was hard), but a GPA requirement like that was not workable.

New LSAT score, will be applying
. I give props to Iowa for that "April 1st" e-mail. I probably wouldn't have thought about them otherwise.

I got a new one as well. Moved my 162 up to a 168 in February! I'm thinking this helps my chances a lot!keg411 wrote:New LSAT score, will be applying. I give props to Iowa for that "April 1st" e-mail. I probably wouldn't have thought about them otherwise.

Congrats Cougs! I didn't go quite as far up as you (162 to 165), but my score now is probably the most reflective of my ability. Are you adding apps now that you have a new score? It's been a long way since September!JCougar wrote:I got a new one as well. Moved my 162 up to a 168 in February! When is Iowa going to get on the scholarship ball? 166/3.6 and absolutely nothing? I really like Iowa, but at this rate I´m off to Washington and Lee or Emory.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
