I guess I am not on any radar for them, no e-mail. I can't believe they would lower themselves to that level to let people wait. I love how everyone says the rankings suck, but the rankings are just one take on the schools. It's the way the schools/students use the rankings that sucks.

No, I have no decision rendered or anything. I would say it's because I went complete late, but people who went complete after I did have received notifications of all types. I am borderline, so I don't mind waiting quietly in one way to try and slip into a waitlist, but on the other hand I think I am just waiting to find out I am being rejected, and that sucks.

Anyone just get the email from USD to let admitted students know that they've received a lot of requests for deposit extensions due to accepted students wanting to see the US News rankings when they come out?

I wonder if that has anything to do with their rise in rankings? Haha.

I received an email that the first seat deposit deadline is officially extended to April 30th.

Good, because my letter still has not arrived at my house. It would be mean to find out I was admitted only to find out that the seat deadline had passed.

I am from San Diego and haven't gotten anything in the mail, DR 4/13 but received the status change on 4/12. I'm expecting a ding, cause I got no email about the extension. Though at the same time I figure if you were accepted you would automatically be granted an extension, cause the two other schools I got accepted into indicated a specific deposit due date OR x amount of days from receiving your acceptance letter.

I'm about to send in my deposit to Hawaii tomorrow (glad they jumped out of T3 seeing as how they were there because of a reporting error), so it would greatly be appreciated if it arrived before I get to the post office.

Good, because my letter still has not arrived at my house. It would be mean to find out I was admitted only to find out that the seat deadline had passed.

Why would they admit you only to tell you that you can't pay your deposit and thus not be able to attend? That doesn't make sense. Of course they'd give you an extension to pay it by a certain date. The only people they're inconveniencing with this extension are the ones still waiting for their decisions and, to a lesser degree, those who are on the waitlist.

yup pretty much. I almost forgot I applied to USD because they took so long. It was the first school I sent an app to since it didn't require LORs and at that time, mine were not ready (they have been in since late November though). My GPA for PT is above their 75%tile (3.65 when theirs is 3.39 or something around that for PT), but my LSAT is more near their 25%tile so I am not sure if I have a great shot. It doesn't help my confidence that they waited so long to give me a decision.

When it comes to USD Status Checker - we're in the exact same boat. I went complete in November and received no status changes until April also. 4/13/10 DECISION RENDERED.

I also applied for part time except we're reversed - my LSAT is above their 75% tile and my GPA is below their 25%. G'luck, today's a new day. Hopefully we hear something!

For those who were accepted did you get any deposit numbers on your status checker page? I know some schools update this and some schools do not... Could be a quick answer for those of us that are waiting on letters
