But hey, the bars (the whole 3 or so) are fun and I actually liked it there-- although town/gown can get a little strained at times.
also.... isn't there a hangout place called Wawa's. I find that name funny in a cute sort of way.
People hang out at convenience stores now?
PS: Wawa is the greatest convenience store ever. Owns 711.

I like Lexington because they have a good truck stop!
It's a little bit off the interstate, but there is always room to park there. They have a pretty good game room, and a decent restaurant. Williamsburg, however, has no place to park a truck.
What decent southern school does not have a truck stop!

Not anything really exciting. Just saying congrats, and why they think I should choose W&L. Basically a sales pitch.

krispykitten wrote:So did you guys hear by letter/email/status checker/ or what? I'm trying to figure out which one to stalk obsessively.
I feel like this is turning into a bad relationship. WL invited me over just to hang out and check out the place. I ended up spending the night. We hung out a little the next day and WL promised to get in touch with me soon. 2 weeks go by and nothing... Now I'm obsessed, standing by the phone, waiting to hear anything. I'm about to go Single White Female here
The status checker only said "decision rendered". Had to wait for the letter a week later to know I was in. Once you get the status changed on the checker, I would suggest going guerrilla-stalker on your mailman!
Good Luck Krispy!

Yeah I have received multiple letters from professors and deans office since my admission all saying why I should go. Thats all well and good but all of it is moot until I see some $$$$$

+1
I have another school offering $$$$ so everything is a comparison now. I might really like a school but with another offer, I can't go somewhere and pay full tuition while knowing I can cut my debt by 90% by going elsewhere.

Just so you know, when I was there, they told me that they're not doing scholarship offers until January, so you may want to consider waiting until then before you make a final decision.[/quote]
Oh, I plan to make full use of my time (deadline is April 15 for most decisions) before making my final decision. I was just making my point in general. Thank you though!

I lol'd. Maybe I should mail the adcoms some and see if they get the joke
I don't know. There seems to be some kind of "blockage" on many of my schools.

This metaphor is highly [strike]in[/strike]appropriate.
