thanks and congrats on the acceptance!Rowinguy2009 wrote:I'm in too!
And for the person who asked what it was like...I went to visit last week. It was a very nice place, the campus was beautiful, the law school facilities were nice, all the people were super friendly. But as people have noted before, Lexington is very small, I think someone commented that the only chains in the whole city were Wendy's and Walmart.

Haha, I got a very unexpected acceptance letter today.
I had e-mailed them about a week or two ago and asked them to hold my application because I am re-taking the LSAT in December. They responded quickly and told me they would hold it. Nevertheless, I'm in, and it's definitely a confidence booster to be in at least somewhere.

i notice W&L is ranked the same as Fordham.....do you think they are of equal selectivity/difficulty to get into?

Not yet, I still didn't receive my decision letter. I have a feeling it's good news, but until you have it in your hand you never know.bowie8285 wrote:bissey wrote:no one has gotten denied, so i wouldn't worry, even though i know you will be anxious until you get itVeritas wrote:nothing for meI was in the first batch of decisions. Close, but not quite. Fordham, due to its location, sends a lot of students into biglaw, so it enjoys the ability to be more selective. However, they do have a PT division, so this kind of compensates for the discrepancy.bowie8285 wrote:i notice W&L is ranked the same as Fordham.....do you think they are of equal selectivity/difficulty to get into?

They are a great school, and I really enjoyed visiting there, but William and Mary is honestly just more appealing to me (as far as Virginia schools go), and since I have already been accepted/offered scholarship money there I highly doubt I will choose W&L over W&M unless W&L comes close to giving me a full ride (which I highly doubt will happen).bissey wrote:anybody, other than trucker, seriously considering attending?

I'm considering it, but I would have to get some money. I've been told the campus is beautiful and the facilities are great; plus, I'm just a fan of small schools/small towns.bissey wrote:anybody, other than trucker, seriously considering attending?

Hey all
I did some searching in last years posts, and it seems that no one got scholarship information till February 13th. Sounds like we are in for a wait.

I think this is due to the fact that most acceptances were not issued last year until Jan/Feb.

Their website mentions that scholarship decisions are typically made in mid-January

unless you're the first (on TLS), it's most likely an acceptance.starlight007 wrote:ok, my status: Letter of Decision Mailed 11/10/2009

I'm still worried about the two batches. Some sent 11/9, some sent 11/10. I don't think any of the 11/10 people, of which I am one, have received anything in the mail yet. If the 11/10s are rejections, it would be a complete departure from how the school has done things in the past - at least from the information on LSN.starlight007 wrote:ok, my status: Letter of Decision Mailed 11/10/2009

As unorganized as they have been thus far....I really don't think you should read too much into it.chrisokc wrote:starlight007 wrote:
