Davis, please show some splitter love. we are always left out in the rain... even irvine accepted a couple of reverse splitters but no regular splitters.

Re: UC Davis
Good luck to you, although my recent Davis acceptance is indicative of reverse-splitter friendliness. Maybe we should make a forum specifically for reverse-splitter friendly schools (as realized through acceptance of reverse splitters)?finalaspects wrote:Davis, please show some splitter love. we are always left out in the rain... even irvine accepted a couple of reverse splitters but no regular splitters.

all UC's+UVa are reverse splitter friendly (UVa by virtue of being almost a purely splitter school)gatorlion wrote:Good luck to you, although my recent Davis acceptance is indicative of reverse-splitter friendliness. Re: UC Davis
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but anybody else notice that the status checker gets updated only once a day, and it seems to be 6p PST every week day. ... (Maybe this is common. Whatever.)
And after noticing that, anybody else notice that it has no bearing on the number of times you check anyway?
That's all. Sorry to bump without great/any admittance news. I now return you all to your own agonizing waits.

Re: UC Davis
For those of you that were admitted via status checker, did you get your decision at the usual 6 o'clock daily update or did it come mid-day sometime? I'm trying to decide if I'm wasting my time looking at the status checker multiple times throughout the day.

Congrats all, glad to see movement for Davis.
(P.S. Davis, you still can accept me today or on my birthday Monday with no hard feelings)

kind of difficult to tell unless one person checks it every day at 5:30 and then again after 6... and get lucky that it switches that day..rufferoo wrote:Yea, i always wonder too... does anyone know? hahahajbaritot wrote:For those of you that were admitted via status checker, did you get your decision at the usual 6 o'clock daily update or did it come mid-day sometime? Re: UC Davis
I just figured they did a whole system update at 6pm everyday, and as they accept applicants they update their individual portal throughout the day. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about this... My campus visit yesterday got me all excited. (When I have more time I'll give you guys a run down of how it went!)finalaspects wrote:kind of difficult to tell unless one person checks it every day at 5:30 and then again after 6... and get lucky that it switches that day..rufferoo wrote:Yea, i always wonder too... does anyone know? hahahajbaritot wrote:For those of you that were admitted via status checker, did you get your decision at the usual 6 o'clock daily update or did it come mid-day sometime? I don't know if this counts for anything, but you'll see upthread that one day I checked the website at 6 pm (or a few second shy) and then again later in the evening, and I went from "Awaiting Evaluation" to "Evaluation in Process". Since then I've only checked it after 6 pm. It helps me get through my day.ozarkhack wrote:Because ... what IF??finalaspects wrote:why would you not take the website's word for it?...

Re: UC Davis
If I'm busy at work, then it's no big deal (in fact, I'll almost forget about the whole thing). Days like today, when have little to do? It's tough. My OCD here is exacerbated by the fact that I don't know how frequently my other schools update, so I check them throughout the day. And once I get going, well ...totebags wrote:I don't know if this counts for anything, but you'll see upthread that one day I checked the website at 6 pm (or a few second shy) and then again later in the evening, and I went from "Awaiting Evaluation" to "Evaluation in Process". Re: UC Davis
Oh, I understand. I check my other schools every couple hours, going from East to West. I also have bookmarks for each school's LSN, ordered by the most recent update. It's great to go through and see the same user updated 5 minutes ago for all the same schools as me. Of course, it's usually an acceptance for that person, while I'm sitting here still waiting.jbaritot wrote:+100ozarkhack wrote:If I'm busy at work, then it's no big deal (in fact, I'll almost forget about the whole thing). Haha.. I'm a big Dr. Steve Brule fan. Hopefully in the near future we can all share some sweet berry wine together to celebrate our acceptances.totebags wrote:finalaspects wrote:its kind of hilarious how the 3 of you guys who seem to check obsessively all have the same "type" of avatar pictures...
