Today I lost a friend on facebook. She is a 1L at Hastings, was a good friend of my wifes and mine, and knew I was going to attend Davis this coming fall.

Seriously? SWheat's still raging on the UC Hastings admissions thread. What's his beef? Didn't college end long ago? I see this kind of temper tantrum during college football season!

I have said nothing in the last 24 hours on the Hastings 2013 thread regarding the rankings. I have been asked to leave this thread alone, and I am now asking this thread to leave me alone.

Yes waitlisted at Davis (just received the letter today). I realize it's not a cause-and-effect thing; I'd thought I'd read here that often one is accepted at one and usually wait-listed at the other (it could easily have been the other way around).

My cycle's almost over ... I've forgotten who else I'm waiting on - possibly USC and that's it.

But on a more serious note, I didn't explicitly restrict the phrase "still raging" to 24 hours. We had this argument days ago. Yet on Monday, 4:15pm:

What are your reasons for favoring Davis? Location? I wouldn't put much stock in their employment statistics...there is something majorly fishy going on with those.

Even taking into account the discussion's context, that's a potshot in my book. I'm not particularly offended as I haven't gotten accepted. But I do have the right to be puzzled at the high limits of one's upset demeanor, no?

He has been asked to keep debate out of Davis students threads and has been very respectful of that request, so I ask that all other posters not specifically call the guy out in such threads as that is relatively unfair. Generic rival law school trash talk is still allowed in here of course, but mentioning specific Hastings students by name (or TLS name) when they are unable to respond is indeed poor form and will desist.

Individual Swheat v. UC Davis debate can still go on in the various threads of the "Choosing A Law School" forum.

end of may would be guess. that would just be the start date. they might not even need anyone off the waitlist if they get enough deposits so yea... and this year anything can happen.
