I seriously doubt I could/would attend anywhere else if either school accepts me*.

That means I'm willing to toss aside living in Boulder/Denver or Portland and to decline (perhaps stupidly) what amounts to full-tuition scholarship at local TTT. ... All for paying sticker at Davis/Hastings.

In at Hastings, but CoL in SF is huge and so is commute time.

I have Davis/UCI as my #1.

How long after going under evaluation should I expect to hear back?

Some people have been in that stage for months. At this point in the cycle, though, I would expect it to be 1-3 weeks at most.

In the past, though, they've been making decisions late into April.

Well, not including 2 major reach Waitlists I'm on, Davis is second behind Hastings, Fordham, W&M (all tied still, all still not heard from, and IF I get accepted at all three...).
I'm actually ready to move to NYC, Williamsburg, or SF. I'm leaning most to SF and NYC, but W&M has that cheaper price tag!

I've been there for months. I called admissions and apparently they will be making decisions until the end of April.

Yeah, Davis was my top choice. In fact, I applied to Hastings as a safety in mid-late Dec.

I just got a financial aid email from Davis letting me know what my anticipated grant aid is based on Need Access, and what I qualify for in Federal loans. Is this my total financial award, or just the need based and I will recieve somethign additional in the admin packet (If I end up getting more)?

Got the email too. It seems like it's just the grants that you qualify for and not merit, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty happy with it if that's all I get anyway! It's more than I expected. :)

hey guys i have a question about part of the email. It says, "The UC Davis Law Financial Aid Office expects to begin awarding financial aid on a rolling basis beginning April 1st". Does the rolling basis mean that the people they admitted first will be receiving their official financial aid letters first.

I'd imagine it is based on when your Need Access and Fafsa was submitted and complete.

Davis is my first choice, but I am seriously sick of waiting! I hope I am waiting for a good reason, because if they are going to deny me, they can cut the suspense and do it now.

LOL so really you mean Davis is like 6th for you.

Also I am renewing my request that some admitted student send me the password/login info for the admitted students site.

Yeah, it looks that way doesn't it. Really, I don't expect to get admitted off the two major reach Waitlists (GU:C and UVA), and so it'll probably be W&M, Hastings, then Davis... but yeah, not my first, that's safe to say.

It's the same as the one for your status checker. I don't think anyone is going to give away their personal user name and password. Sorry.

Ah, I didn't think it would be a personal password, thought they'd just have a standard one for everyone.

My email contained my expected total package, including merit + financial aid (they separated it). Then I received the official merit letter in the admissions packet.

Argh, guess Davis doesn't feel like giving me any merit aid either.

Going Eval in progress in November and not hearing anything yet. I think it is safe to say someone doesn't like my App in Committee. It is especially disheartening when some people applied in Jan/Feb and have already been accepted.

They say that they begin looking at apps in January, and that they pick them randomly...

Ha ha. Okay, I concede the first part, but holding firm on the second (with limited credibility).
