I believe the scholarship notification comes via e-mail. I got mine about 2 weeks ago and just got the thumb drive today. Also, my status checker is still stuck at complete 2/12.

Got third complete update on 3/11 but it said complete 3/9 but no e-mail. I guess if I don't hear anything on Tuesday then that's WUSTL's way of saying thanks for the application bump jerkoff now go kill yourself.

i'm becoming more emotionally committed to attending wustl. i'm still hanging out on vandy's waitlist, but i haven't really thought about that school very much....i've already started looking at and inquiring about apartment complexes in st. louis.

If you don't mind random advice, I'd definitely go with Wash U... they gave you a niceeeee scholarship package and are ranked really well. Unless you want to do some sort of law that absolutely requires a region you're golden. Plus you're always on this thread... you could be like me and only on it because you're bored... but you also seem highly knowledgeable and into the school. I was in a class taught by their former dean (he's the pres at my undergrad now) and it was... very good.

don't mind the advice at all...i think i'd do well in picking wustl as i am comfortable with the idea of living in the midwest, i'm just thinking that vandy may put me in a good position here in the southeast (i'm from NC and a UNC grad). also wondering if IBR would even the playing field. since after 10 years of public service debt is forgiven. of course i'm not thinking much about vandy since i'm just on the waitlist. i fully intend on turning in my wustl seat deposit.

Vandy would be good if you want to stay in your region... and if you wanted to someday open your own practice it'd be easier to get clients, probably. Has anyone posted where WashU grads end up by % and region?

another thing to consider is that lawyers always call up their law school buddies for advice on areas they don't know much about, but that's not such a useful thing to do if all your classmates are in different states than you. you also won't really need to do so if you work closely with other lawyers or in a very specialized setting....

my bf's aunt went to harvard law, that was the useful part of her advice (her dad paid for her law school, and she's in big law, so her situation really doesn't fit with me)... but it was good to realize that states' policies are different so friends might not be so helpful...

WUSTL accepts applicants by email. About 2 to 3 weeks after acceptance you get a package with a nice flash drive. It's got pdfs of their brochures, videos etc.

Nice way of getting materials to applicants, plus it saves a ton of money on postage.... Looking at you, Vanderbilt!

I am writing to you because you seem to know the ins and outs of the admissions process. If you don't mind I want you to give it to me straight. I have a thick skin, so don't worry about. I got LSAT 158, 3.6 gpa in Communications, a Master's Degree in Film and I am from Los Angeles. I applied in November and I got a second complete 2/4. Do I have a legitimate shot or should I just quit thinking about them? Is the delay simply because they're waiting to do a mass rejection (which I have yet to understand how that helps efficiency when it is emailed)?

Also, looking at your stats, I would be infuriated with IU-Bloomington. How can you get rejected there but then get into WUSTL with scholarship totaling 117K?????!!!!! I believe IU-Bloomington has the oddest admissions standards. I get the sense they don't know what they're looking for.

with wustl it comes down to applicants' numbers. because both of your stats (lsat and gpa) are under wustl's medians you'll probably be rejected. and you're right about wustl sending out rejections in mass. that usually happens starting the 1st of april.

in regards to iu-b minority admissions is weird so i'm not very surprised by their decision especially considering i don't help out their medians.
