I haven't seen anyone here report so yet. We're at just about the 4 week mark for the "4 to 6 weeks" they suggested in the defferal letter, so let's hope we start seeing something soon.lslc13 wrote:Congratulations!

Yep! It all came together in the big packet they sent me; there's a separate envelope for the scholarship in the packet.Veritas wrote:congrats! did this come with your acceptance?itsirtou wrote:Yay! Dean's scholarship with a handwritten note (signed "Fred.").

In today with letter marked February 5th and a handwritten note mentioning some specifics about my work experience/volunteerism (nice touch). No scholarship info though; probably since I'm a reverse splitter. Glad to be on board though!

I'm making a drive down to DC tonight to check out GW tomorrow!! If people want, I will report back with what I see (for those of you who have never seen the campus or anything). Pretty excited to make my first trip to a school I actually might attend.

It is pretty much the perfect school for me (outside of Berkeley/Stanford)... I want to end up in the Maryland/Delaware/DC area, I want to go into Intellectual Property (GW is #3 in the country behind Cal/Stanford), and I would like to go to a school that has some upper-level of academic prestige. GW fits the bill to a T.... I may be one of the stupid ones who go there at sticker... Here's to some good need-based aid!

I would love to go to GW, but I really can't consider the 70K a year there over 30K at W & M.
I think GW places better in DC, but not crazily better, and 120K is a big difference.
If I had some money, on the other hand.....
Edited for inability to add (see below).

gahhhh. My decision is now made harder... I had 30k total at UIUC, but now I just received 36k total from Ohio State. C'mon GW, SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!! Please? I love you most (I can't wait to spend Valentines Day with you this weekend).

Tuition only I have: 48K at GW, 15K at W&M, 4K at W&L, 10K at Illinois as my top four choices right now. I just can't justify GW with those other options.

4k at W&L? Jesus Christ what are you waiting for? I'd take that in a heart beat.ndirish2010 wrote:+1Interminable_Waiting wrote:I would love to go to GW, but I really can't consider the 70K a year there over 30K at W & M.

Re: The George Washington Law School 2010
Don't get me wrong, I like W&L, but I like GW (and Fordham) more and I think that their reputations in their cities are traditionally better. W&L is probably fourth (after GULC, GW, W&M) on the DC school pecking order, not to mention T14s.nooyyllib wrote:4k at W&L? Jesus Christ what are you waiting for?
