aw come on the thread's to bide time too... but apparently no one liked my embarrassing story =(
incidentally, if anyone comes across the picture on someone's myspace or something let me know as the girl explicitly did not have my permission and I will sue her daddy out of his john deere.
I liked your story. But it's legal to take someone's picture in a public place, so I don't know why you thought she would delete the picture just because you told her to. I'm keeping my eye out on facebook now.
Not legal to publish it though! Plus it wasn't a public place, it was a fast food joint...

Dude, I could so use a cupcake right now. And I just checked the fridge in our breakroom and there are like 15 mini cupcakes in there. Think anyone would notice if I snatched one?

it would be weird if you DIDN'T snatch one. I love mini cupcakes- there's this place called goodness cakes (just found out I have a tie to the owners, too ! yes!!!) that makes the besttt mini cupcakes ever. Their frosting is a miracle.
every 2 weeks or so my office has a food day. I never bring anything in. but I still sample everything. is that wrong?

Getting a bit more on-topic, what do you guys think about the PT program being full now? On LSN, it looks like some auto-admit numbers started getting waitlisted around this time last year.

Do you, or anyone else, know what the size of the evening program is?

what do you mean, the pt program being full? like transferring into the full or having to have the same numbers as the full? oooohhhh I see. ty penny. I don't know... I mean if you applied now I think you'd be in trouble but I think there are probably a good number of spots still open and sitting in committee.

I believe it is about 120 students.

I mean, perhaps Fordham has already extended enough offers of admission that they can realistically expect enough matriculants to fill up the evening class. Or they're hoping that some WL'd FT students with higher scores will take PT. So anyone from this point on gets WL'd. Seems possible with a small class size like that. Dunno . . . just being paranoid I guess?

I see. I edited my above post before you submitted this... but I think that if you applied before now you still have a decent shot. I'm sure they keep spots open, though I wouldn't be surprised if their requirements got more strenuous.

I think so. Since PT is included in the rankings now, if I were an adcom, I would probably view the whole applicant pool together and get the numbers wayyy up. Fill up the PT with PT applicants with FT numbers and waitlisted FT who don't mind spending their first year as PT.

It would make sense that in mid-march a good portion of both the FT and PT program has been filled (or at least offers have been extended). However, we're dealing with Fordham so throw the norms out the window cause anything goes.

lol. True. They're very unpredictable, at least this cycle.
Just called admissions and the secretary hung up on me. Literally. I called back and she was much more polite. Just wanted to confirm that they had my most recent LSAT score (they did.)

According to the "Official ABA Data" sheet on Fordham available on lsac.org, there were 261 PT offers and 160 matriculating students in the year reported, which I think is 2008. Total in the part time program is 307, which indicates that a good chunk of students switch to full time (160x3=480).

oooh research! Oh I see what you mean by the switching to full time... assuming there were comparable numbers each year, and the school's retention was good, there'd be quite a pile switching to full....

I believe it is about 120 students.
Yes, I am here. It's 160, in four sections. We had the same "full" scare last year, and for a while it looked like everyone PT who went complete after November 10th was getting waitlisted. Admissions picked up again, and subsequently a fair number of waitlistees got in PT, including some at the very, very end. Autoadmit numbers were always less of a guarantee PT, however. It's just harder to predict, though the good news is Fordham is still looking to admit nontrads with interesting life experience; I definitely get the sense that the school regrets having to take a fully formalistic, numbers based approach.

For what it's worth, I've heard people (associates and partners at my firm) say their experience at UVa Law was more rewarding/enjoyable than undergrad. And Charlottesville is beautiful. But no, it's not NYC . . . or free!

Oh man. Back in my wild college days, the Irish Car Bombs started at 10am every St. Patricks day and took place every hour, on the hour. By the early afternoon, things started to get ugly...
Also, if you're ever in Vegas, The Nine Fine Irishmen in New York, New York makes a mean car bomb
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
