I'm late to the party - Congrats Kim!
Probably drinking alone instead.
On the other hand, I watched Zombieland while eating dinner last night. While it was a very funny movie, it didn't compliment my dinner very well. Especially the beginning.
I was gonna go to the Hoboken St. Paddy's Day parade but that just fell throughH. E. Pennypacker wrote:Anyone up to anything good this weekend?

I went to Hoboken St. Patricks day last year. It's a real scene over there.

nygrrrl of course it would take a lot for you to own an automatic- you don't really need a car!H. E. Because of the insanity of last year, they're trying to up it to 100% of the police force. They gave out 400 summons they said last year, according to this article at least. I'm so jealous you got to go.

It's early days for that. There were a grand total of two waitlist admits last cycle (that I knew about, and I was paying attention) prior to April 15th. May 1st - August 1st is busy season for getting off the FLS waitlist.Cardboardbox wrote:No one has been pulled off the waitlist have they?

I saw on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives that the family that runs Doumar's in VA Beach claims to have invented the ice cream cone.jl2032 wrote:We also invented the ice cream cone!
edit: I should add that I tried to visit but it was a Sunday and they were closed. Instead we went to the Jewish Mother, a delightful deli and music venue in Virginia Beach. I'm not kidding.

1) Congrats Kim! That's awesome!
2) I only drove a stick shift through high school and college (haven't had a car since I moved to New York) and they are the best. Automatics bore me haha.
3) Going to see Alice in Wonderland tonight, making blue velvet cupcakes for a baby shower tomorrow, and going to an Oscar party on Sunday. Good weekend ahead

Hehehe, I don't actually have to GO to the baby shower. Just making the cupcakes. And blue velvet cupcakes are the exact same thing as red velvet cupcakes, just with different food coloringsibley wrote:+1 on the jealousyeven2flow wrote:Reading this my emotions went through the following rollercoaster in this order:LaurenGayle wrote: 3) Going to see Alice in Wonderland tonight, making blue velvet cupcakes for a baby shower tomorrow, and going to an Oscar party on Sunday. Jealous - frightened - sleepy.

And this is actually the first time I've watched the Oscars in years. But one of my friends was the casting director of Precious, so I guess I have something to root for this year?
So psyched about Alice in Wonderland! Unfortunately my bf works late tonight so we aren't going until 12:20. Hope I can make it!

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
I wonder if I can convince my bf to do this. He refuses to see imax in Westchester - I couldn't get him to go to Avatar with me and he ended up going in Manhattan later. Because he's a snob and the imaxes in westchester have too-small screens =PLaurenGayle wrote:sibley wrote:Kim617 wrote:Me too!
