Why is the law school required to open up 40% of its class to in state applicants when they don't receive any state funding?

Is there a difference between "Complete" and "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision"?

I don't think UVA does "Under Review." Instead they have "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" on the status checker.

What is UVA's policy on addition LOR's? I submitted in October but I recently realized I could get another one from a UVA Law grad who knows me very well. Will they accept additional materials although I'm already under review?

My "Current Status Date" on the status checker just changed to today's date. Does that mean anything at UVA (like it does at Duke or Georgetown) or are they just playing with me?

No. My date changed a while back when an LOR was processed by LSAC after my Law School Report was sent. However, I have added nothing new to my application since.

According to an earlier poster, UVA's admissions procedures this cycle have been "schizophrenic." I think that's pretty accurate. We have not detected any rhyme or reason to their actions. Maybe there is a method to the madness, but we haven't figured out what it is.
