For those of you admitted to UVA...
did they call you to let you know you were accepted or notify you via snail mail or e-mail?

Some get an email to call, others get called then a followup email.

Agreed. You'd think they would at least waitlist you so that you could send in a LOCI in the event that you really wanted to attend.

question for all the ppl WL/Reject with borderline numbers...not the YP ppl..

Have you gotten any acceptances from peer schools (MVP) that would make you consider the UVA ding special or abnormal, or are these dings pretty much in uniform with the rest of MVP for you....

basically I'm asking if i should ED right now with borderline numbers or just wait it out and also count on the other 2 of the MVP

I got into Chicago, which makes the UVA ding seem even more odd. I figured it would be the other way around, if at all.

I was complete in very early December and have not heard anything.

ME. UR since 11/10. I imagine I'm going to get dinged, but I felt I had fairly strong enough numbers for UVA. ughhhhhh

It's fun to be pessimistic, but it's possible you haven't heard anything because UVA might, uh, actually accept you in the next week or two. I'm think they're still going to accept a substantial number of applicants from the RD pool.

You should be a lock for RD, since you're at both medians, but not high enough for YP. OTOH you have a good shot at NYU, so I don't know how UVA will look at that.

All you people complaining about getting rejected, if you really wanted UVA you should have ED. They still give out scholarship money if you ED and if it was your number 1 you should have pulled the ED trigger. They don't owe you anything and you don't have a right to be accepted. They are playing the same numbers game that all of us are.

Sorry for all the WL/rejects but don't blame UVA.
