Just got this. Looks like they are doing some notifications via email.

We couldn't wait to let you know that we're offering you admission to our J.D. Class of 2013. The official admission letter from our office is in the mail and you should receive it soon (if it has not already arrived). If you do not receive it in the next few days, please contact us.

Maybe theyre sending these out to stop the calls.

Not necessarily...I was admitted over the phone yesterday, yet still no email.

No mention of it in the email and no mention in the admissions packet. Though some people's letters mentioned that they were being considered for a Dean's Scholarship (which only a select few students get). I called the office and they said scholarship offers typically come later.

I think I'm competitive but by no means feel entitled to an acceptance. I just hate the fact that deferrals exist. You promised that if I applied by a certain date, you would give me a decision by a certain date. A deferral is not a decision, it merely allows a school to back out of its contract with you by providing a pseudo-decision.

Actually, I agree with you there. I was more just fed up with the TLSers on other threads DEMANDING Admission to this or that school. I am disappointed with the decision. But I do feel it is better than a waitlist, and better than rejected. Hopefully, you'll be in in the next few days. Good luck!

So no one gets any mention of scholarship (Dean's or otherwise) in the email? Thanks and I am so happy for all you guys!

In the PDF of my letter, it said I was under consideration for the Dean's; I have not yet gotten this elusive email that everyone else has gotten, for some reason. Perhaps we will get a different email.
