Sent a note to the admissions office last Friday and got a "Thank you for your email and interest in Michigan. I'm sorry.." email. I got a bit sad and opened the email, which continued "... to ruin the surprise, but we sent you an offer of admission Friday"

Tears of sorrow turned to tears of joy (ok, neither, but I'm really excited!) and though it was time I spoke up.

Applied late November, complete mid December.
stats plz? you can PM...would be really appreciated as my dates coincide with yours.

I applied early last month and got an "application recieved" email on 1/22. Any idea how much longer before I can expect to go complete and/or get a status checker?

Probably a while, it took over a month for me. They could speed things up toward the end though.

Took me two weeks between the two emails.

Did anyone who got that "hold"email a few weeks ago, the one that wasn't really a hold, send in a LOCI? Have any of these people been accepted or rejected since?

I got in after the hold email through a packet in the mail. No LOCI.

Also does anyone know if the flash drive is available anywhere online? (in my excitement I immediately dropped mine in the snow)

The video on it is available on the admitted students site.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, was your LOCI an email or USPS letter?

I got the email, sent in a LOCI, updated transcript w/ fall grades and resume, and was accepted last week.

Dude. take a deep breath.... I included it in the email because it's less formal and also so it wouldn't be caught by a spam filter, but I'm sure it doesn't matter how you send it, only what you say when you send it. (before you ask me what I sent in the email, I stitched $100 bills into the envelope and mentioned that I'd be giving massages once admitted...)

I would personally write it in word, convert to pdf and send that...

One day the Michigan Status Checker will evolve into a Hal/Terminator like robot and destroy us all. It already feeds off our fear...

I won't check mine...I have this new theory that if I don't check it, they will accept me. I WAS COMPLETE 10/6.

Please let me in so I can finally pick a school.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
