I've been haunting this thread for a while, kind of like the funky gargoyles on the law school building.

Sent a note to the admissions office last Friday and got a "Thank you for your email and interest in Michigan. I'm sorry.." email. I got a bit sad and opened the email, which continued "... to ruin the surprise, but we sent you an offer of admission Friday"

Tears of sorrow turned to tears of joy (ok, neither, but I'm really excited!) and though it was time I spoke up.

Applied late November, complete mid December.

stats plz? you can PM...would be really appreciated as my dates coincide with yours.

wrote a 'why mich' essay and one LOCI (last week, don't know if it got there pre or post decision)

I applied early last month and got an "application recieved" email on 1/22. Any idea how much longer before I can expect to go complete and/or get a status checker?

Probably a while, it took over a month for me. They could speed things up toward the end though.

Did anyone who got that "hold"email a few weeks ago, the one that wasn't really a hold, send in a LOCI? Have any of these people been accepted or rejected since?

I got the email, sent in a LOCI, updated transcript w/ fall grades and resume, and was accepted last week.

I included it in the email because it's less formal and also so it wouldn't be caught by a spam filter, but I'm sure it doesn't matter how you send it, only what you say when you send it. (before you ask me what I sent in the email, I stitched $100 bills into the envelope and mentioned that I'd be giving massages once admitted...)
