Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
How long did it take people to receive their responses via snailmail after the status checker went to "Decision"?
I went decision on the 16th, and can access the admitted students site...but I'm rather anxious about it since it's my first T14 acceptance, and I'm still going to be worried that something went wrong until I've got that beautiful, sweet acceptance letter in my hands.
(Also, does Georgetown just send a letter? Or does it come with goodies?)

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Mine was just a letter with a little handwritten note from the dean at the bottom, which I think most people get. It was a nice touch. It comes in a fancy, small envelope. When I first got it I was like "OH NO THEY REJECTED ME!" because it's just a small envelope. I didn't receive any goodies, besides an invitation to the open house on march 25-26th.mb88 wrote:How long did it take people to receive their responses via snailmail after the status checker went to "Decision"?

False, but the chances are extraordinarily slim.chicoalto0649 wrote:True or false:

Had no desire for DC anyways (sour grapes much ). Really it's no biggey. I'll consider it a victory everyday that passes by without a ding. They send all decisions via email right?Torvon wrote:False, but the chances are extraordinarily slim.chicoalto0649 wrote:True or false:

Edit:
I may be urm but I have numbers no where near bazoogakitty and just got my gw rejection today

No, acceptances are by snail mail.chicoalto0649 wrote:They send all decisions via email right?Torvon wrote:False, but the chances are extraordinarily slim.chicoalto0649 wrote:True or false:

Yep- acceptances by snail mail in a small envelope. Haven't had any other snail mail from them yet. I got a tshirt and some goodies at the ASW in January though.

Are scholarship invites over? If so, I will be withdrawing sometime soon.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
i got an invite for an interview for a merit scholarship last week, which led me to think more about whether i would move to DC and go to georgetown even if offered a scholarship.
ultimately i decided that i wouldn't and so i withdrew my acceptance so that they can admit other people. i think it was the right thing to do, but somehow it feels kinda sad.

Don't withdraw yet, I have a feeling that more offers will go out.DallasCowboy wrote:Are scholarship invites over? If so, I will be withdrawing sometime soon.
I had my interview this morning, and offers for this round will go out next week. I was told you have to decide by April 1st whether or not your taking it - I think the deadline is earlier so that unclaimed $$ can be given to other people.

Does anyone know if the Georgetown specific financial aid form- the yellow form I think- is available? The admitted student site says Mid February but I don't see it.

Someone in another thread mentioned that they called the office and that the forms would be out within the next week or two. Also, the March 1 deadline for submitting the forms will be pushed back.wackadoodle wrote:Does anyone know if the Georgetown specific financial aid form- the yellow form I think- is available? I had been one of the few people held from december with a decision promised by 2-26. I went under review again today and I hadn´t had any movement since 12-2. Perhaps they will stick to ther promise....

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Just officially got my acceptance letter in the mail. I could already log into the Admitted Student's website, but this makes me breathe ALOT easier; especially considering the Cornell waitlist I got.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
