You are far from alone. There are quite a few of us on here waiting for our response.WMCowgirl wrote:I called today and it just takes you to an automated line and then an answering machine. For some reason I think this would bar you from actually clearing the character and fitness test in order to pass the bar. I don't know, though. Maybe you could argue extreme mental distress made you not of sound mind.SamSeaborn2016 wrote:While I'll agree they could improve their system for applicants, I would still blow up a bus full of nuns and kittens to get into GULC.

I applied ED--went UR on 11/11 and then "again" on 11/24 (not sure what that means) Then finally DR on 12/1. Have not heard anything though. Probably a bad sign

Yeah, call me a pessimist, but 12/1 doesn't look like a good date for us. Not if 11/30 and 12/7 are.

Haha thanks for the warm feelings! At this point I would really just like some closure. I always knew it was a huge stretch--I was hoping work experience and a Masters degree would help me out some. Oh well!

158 == absolutely no chance at admission unless that work experience includes few years in space.

Has anyone confirmed whether it is better to be waitlisted or deferred?

deferred is better, you are still under active consideration. WL means they are done with you unless they need you.JohnYuu wrote:Has anyone confirmed whether it is better to be waitlisted or deferred?

Interviews are not noted as DR, but as "Committee Requested Interview." They notified me of mine through an email.Veritas wrote:I'm not sure interview requests came with DR, though.ruleser wrote:If I recall correctly, there is something else that comes by mail - interview requests - which would make sense, we have splitters/urm/etc, so some interviews maybe, and they would maybe have to coordinate those before mailing.
Or not - but something else that comes via mail...
We'll find out soon, sit tight.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
it feels like the 12/1 DR are rejections or waitlists...
My reasoning is as follows: there are 3 people on LSN with 12/1 DR dates that are accepted who received the mail already. Not sure if they went decision on 12/1 or just received their mail at that date. However, those 3 have 170+ and great GPAs, or are URMs. Acceptances seem to be received faster.
The rest are below are all 160s with so so GPA. Or great GPAs but low LSATs... and have not received their decisions...
the previous 11/30 DR all have great LSATs and GPAs, as well as most of the 12/2 DR dates which many of whom have already received their mail as well.
I apologize for being pessimistic, but with a 168/3.1 and a 12/1 DR myself... it doesn't look good.

I agree with that, and to further prove my pessimism, I'm assuming those 12/1 on LSN who got in meant they got their letter on 12/1 and were really DR'd on 11/30. 168/3.5 so I thought I had a shot at the waitlist.

A bunch of people got dinged by Cornell today. So first round was deferrals, today dings. If you are still not hearing, probably good (and now I am truly thankful to have gotten that deferral).vasiok wrote:Funny enough Cornell still has not deferred / rejected me.

I generally agree with the content of what you're saying, but there hasn't been a mass ED acceptance yet, and a large component of the 12/1 crowd are ED.finalaspects wrote:it feels like the 12/1 DR are rejections or waitlists...
